Though some posters may, it's good that Gal and PJ don't view it as a competition between themselves.

I have been critical of Gal wanting to be the man without delivering like the man. Tonight he delivered like the man. He looked completely in control.

Next thing you know, the next argument on here will be who was the player of the game, Cooz or Gal.

And control has been his problem at times. Hopefully he's figuring it out and will continue to improve and play within himself as he did tonight and not try to force things. Tonight we saw the Mekel that most of us have been expecting.

8 of PJ's points (3 baskets) were a direct result of Gal getting him the ball in a position to score.

Gal deserved it. He had a better game throughout.

Amen. Good game Gal. He played well, and hopefully will continue to improve his consistency at the point.

After the last game at home, If I were Gal I'd prefer to play on the road. The crowd at Bradley was probably more for him than the haters at Koch. Still amazed from the other night as you can tell. Gal had a great game. He's still a sophomore so he won't be perfect but I was happy to see him break through for some positives. Now lets get TWO IN A ROW!

What a solid game by Gal tonight. This is what I liked tonight that has been the missing link. Tonight he was in the flow of the game. Tonight Gal produced in the confines of the System. He did not have to force things, play one on one, dribble too much, but rather he played pure team ball, but yet through it all, he produced and had his best game this year. Some sweet passes and he kept drawing fouls and that is money in the Shocker point bank because he is the best free-throw shooter in the Valley. Tonight, this was the Gal we knew was there all along as he is adjusting as a Soph to the new Marshall System!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Yeah, but if I remember right he had a couple turnovers that just made me pound my seat LOL. Wasn't very smart a few times. I thought Gal played all around solid and was very key towords the end to put it away with free throws.

I may change my mind after I watch the game again, but for now I give Gal the props.
Be sure to take notice at the 10:45 mark of the 2nd half...Steven comments about PHIL RUFFIN not playing.

Losing is tough on all of us.

My point of view is that these players are all family. They are part of the Shocker Family. It is fine to constructively criticize poor play as long as we are fair and get over it. The fact is that this is only Gal's second year and it is his second Shocker coaching team. He will have bad games in the future, just like PJ and Phil and every other member of the team. Make your observations or critical comments and then move on. Don't hold grudges, against players or against other Shocker fan. (Creighton and SIU fans are fair game if they diss the Shocks!!) Don't be a hater!!

My request to all Shocker fans is to be respectful toward all Shocker players. Did you notice that Bret Michael took just as long bringing up the ball as Gal did? Did you notice that Gal's dribbling between his legs didn't cause any delay or harm and that his dribbling behind the back avoided a BU steal and let to an easy basket? Support all Shocker players when they are in Koch Arena representing you and me and all Shocker fans. I know a 30 or 40 year season ticket holder who tried to justify the Shocker fans' "dissing" of Gal; I am ashamed to admit that such a long-time fan (on the fourth, fifth or sixth row) would try to justify such behavior. I hope it ends!!
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Excellent game by Gal. If he does this every game, then he will be all-conference. He payed with less flair, but with more consistancy. He played like a senior. It was a pleasure to watch his second half.
