Demonstrating Unwaivering Love Of Shockers, Everybody Stands.

Revenge is best served...........with a crown on your head in front of 10,000+ maniacal fans.

Margin of victory, large enough that everyone plays.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Drake fans are extremely optimistic. I could have used some of what they are inhaling back in the Cohen/Thompson era.

On the other hand, any team can win against superior competition on a given night(see WSU at Drake).

This team is not the Shocker teams of old and they can back up what they are saying. We will have enough of a lead to have the appropriate send off for our seniors. Look for EO to end the game with a massive blocked shot and thus start the conference title celebration.

Now surely a few of students can come up with some clever signs, chants, etc. for this one:

"Drake basketball players Rice, Alexander suspended for theft"

According to a report from KCCI Des Moines, Drake basketball star Rayvonte Rice and senior Kurt Alexander have been suspended indefinitely. The two were arrested Wednesday night for fifth-degree theft. According to the report, the incident occurred at the Scheels Sporting Goods store in Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines. Fifth-degree theft is...

Shockers pay back the bullpups for my inflated beverage cost the last game and the pounding head ache and nausea the morning after....not because I was hung over, but because thinking about the game made me physically sick!

Does that mean they lead the league in steals?

Seems like White Stripes is a national tradition more so than ever with the student sections. Just heard it in the WVU-Marquette game.

You'd think a popular tune like that with a Wichita mention would be utilized more with our program. I wouldn't mind hearing the tune along with the student section chanting to it tomorrow. Too bad that's not gonna happen.

                ... No really, deuces.

I think that with the combination of revenge/Simons still recovering from mono/last home game for the seniors/the way we've been playing that this will be an ol' fashion beat down like the Bradley, SIU, UNI, and Missouri St. games of 25+.

                    AHHH--WHAT ABOUT THOSE SENIORS?

Stutz--the cornerstone of our Shocker foundation. Oh, what a redshirt year could have been. We had to put his feet to the fire the day he walked in. Many felt he would never be even close to what he has became. Mr. Stutz thought we might become the best team in KS by his Soph. Season? We have a solid shot of being the last Kansas Team standing at the Dance in March. Stutz is MVP in Valley whether he gets the honor or not in my opinion. And a special thanks to Kentucky for not taking this solid player seriously on signing day.

Toure'--Yes he hit the big shots his Freshman year. This Season, he has silently hit plenty of shots down the stretch at opportune times, played the D. to slow opponents best players down, and even on an off night, he gets us oodles of assists. Hip Hip Toure'. When Toure' gets hot in that mid range game--watch out. He developed into such a solid all around player. He has found his niche in the confines of team ball.

Kyles--Remember 2 Seasons ago, we had N. Iowa down with 11 minutes left and run out of fizz? An injured DK was a huge problem for us. While DK does not start usually, he IS a starter and a finisher for us. Remember the Tulsa game at Intrust when he got hot? And what an athlete DK is. The 3 point specialist has shot in some daggers for us at times we really needed it.

Ragland--About mid-season last Season, our Rag's started leading us to riches. Ask UNLV or Creighton, or Illinois State. For sure Joe is the very best point guard in the Valley and one of the best in the Country. Has there ever been a point guard at WSU that is such a sharpsooter but can also drive in for lay up after lay up? If so, very few. Most of the best Juco players we sign do good their 1st Season and really get it their Senior Season. 1st Team All Valley for Rags in my books.

Ben Smith--Here is a player that came in and help alot and suddenly was a starter that actually improved our team in mid stream. When he gets hot, he is smokin hot. When is is not, he still has held our opponents to a mild roar on the D. assigments he gets versus taller players. When all of your 5 startes are sharp-shooters, that means curtains for all opponents except 4 this Season.

In conclusion, what a group of great individual class act Shocker basketball team players, both on and off the court. Yes, this is a Season to remember.

How good of a Season was this? We were picked 2nd by most expert prognosticaters. This eternal optimist underestimated the lines all Season long. This is a Season to remember!!!!!!!
