I predict the Shox will come out strung tighter than a g-string on my guitar (I bet no one was expecting me to go THAT direction with that comparison). I wouldn't be surprised if it takes the Shox 10 minutes or so to actually start playing Shocker basketball and takes them into the second half before it becomes a "no-doubter".

We've had 8-game winning streaks twice this season. Drake busted the last one and now Drake represents a possible third 8-game winning streak if we win. If we do, does that mean we are one-and-done at Arch Madness? Seems 8 is the ceiling for streaks with this team, but I feel a 16-game streak is on the horizon :)

Man, it's tough to get you to look on the bright side, KC. Let's finish with a 17 game streak instead -- no need to be the "next Butler" and lose the championship game. We want teams in the future to want to be the "next WSU" and bring the trophy out of the power six conferences again.

Man, looking through the Drake board, they appear poised for victory tomorrow afternoon.

I'd like to have the team take a look at that place and let them know that they expect to get swept by Drake.

Fever, I suspect Drake is going to see a slightly different WSU team than the one that lost in triple overtime (and had the game won on 2 or 3 different occassions) last month.

I think some of their fans are over-estimating their odds of winning, but stranger things have happened, and while I don't think the guys will come out with a less than focused demeanor, given the circumstances, you certainly can see the potential.

One thing Drake fans might not be factoring in....this is not likely to be the typical good and loud WSU crowd. It's more likely to be a packed to the gills, blow the roof off the place crowd, and not everyone reacts well in that kind of an atmosphere.

Even if the crowd starts in a carnival type party mode, a competitive game will lock them in to battle mode, and it will be difficult for the best team to keep their wits about themselves.

You know me, I'll take the 1 pointer, but these guys are locked in right now and playing with a focus and intent I haven't seen for decades. The 2006 team was never this surgical.
