I think some of their fans are over-estimating their odds of winning, but stranger things have happened, and while I don't think the guys will come out with a less than focused demeanor, given the circumstances, you certainly can see the potential.

One thing Drake fans might not be factoring in....this is not likely to be the typical good and loud WSU crowd. It's more likely to be a packed to the gills, blow the roof off the place crowd, and not everyone reacts well in that kind of an atmosphere.

Even if the crowd starts in a carnival type party mode, a competitive game will lock them in to battle mode, and it will be difficult for the best team to keep their wits about themselves.

You know me, I'll take the 1 pointer, but these guys are locked in right now and playing with a focus and intent I haven't seen for decades. The 2006 team was never this surgical.
    Totally agreed, Doc.

If for nothing else, if the team has their head stuck in the clouds tomorrow, I feel the crowd by itself will will the team to victory. I'm sure the team and coaches are already pissed off enough about blowing the game in Des Moines. I know I'm pissed about it. I too have a feeling they'll be out for blood. You really don't wanna be giving anything else for the fans to get fired up about tomorrow. There's already enough fire in place.

    PAIN.

    AND MORE PAIN.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

To borrow from Lou Holtz, somebody has to pay for what happened in Des Moines last month, and it might as well be the Geese tomorrow afternoon.

      Go get 'em guys.

I don't think focus is that much of a risk for this game. I'm more concerned that guys will be too locked in and too amped up more than I am that they won't be focused, although that usually goes away relatively quickly once the game starts.

Stupid question here - the schedule says the game will be on MVC TV. Could someone please tell me what channel that is because I searched my Cox Guide and could not find the game.

Thank you and I do have Cox. However, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Channel 2034 says "UEFA Champions League". Anyone think that maybe they just didn't upgrade their "Guide" when Fox picked up this game? Hope so. I will be at the game as I have season tickets, but I always like to record the game for future gloating.

Yes, they are motivated & focused.

Those who asked if they will be focused on the task at hand on Saturday only need to know the following.

Wichita State had just beat Illinois State and won the league.

I am standing on the floor in Redbird Arena and Joe Ragland comes out of the locker room, already talking about Drake and pay back time. The look on his face said it all.

Yes, they will be focused and ready to go on Saturday.
Above all, make the right call.

Welcome to the City of Painesville. Settled in 1800, Painesville is the county seat of Lake County, Ohio and is located along the beautiful Grand River, roughly 30 miles northeast of Cleveland and 2.5 miles from the shores of Lake Erie. Painesville is home to Lake Erie College, Morley Library and a dynamic historical downtown district.   The city is named after General Edward Paine who served in the Revolutionary War and settled in the area shortly after. Painesville City is roughly 7 square miles, with a population of over 20,300 per the 2020 census.    An unusual feature of Painesville is that the City provides most utilities for its residents including electric, water and water pollution control. For more information visit www.painesville.com or call 440-352-9301.
