I know that I live in the geographic heart of KU douchebaggery, and these folks are as bad as it gets. I also dislike this thread for the reasons already stated. KU morons scoff at the notion of playing us because, in their minds, we are so far beneath them. So let's not worry about playing them. Let them continue to have that attitude and continue to fall in the tournament to teams similarly situated to ours. I get more joy out of the camera shots of their fans crying (literally!) at their now regular second round exits to teams "beneath them" than anything else.

Once again, I'm reminded of "that guy" at the Blackjack table who always blames everyone else for his bust and tries to guess the flow of cards to make his decisions.
My point?: Just play the cards you are dealt. If we are to make it past the first game or go all the way to a championship, you cannot "pick" the path. Destiny will determine who we play, no matter the seed, location, time of day, etc.
Would it be nice to beat a KSU or KU along the way? Of course. But, this ain't rocket surgery - just play the game and win - and if we make it one game or 6 - enjoy being here.

There are enough KU fans/alums in Denver it makes one almost want to be a CU [Colorado] fan. Almost.

Just getting to the Dance should NEVER be enough. That may be good enough for someone from the Northeaster Conference or the MAAC. But not here. Anything short of a Sweet 16 is a letdown. And the Sweet 16 shouldn't be the goal.

This has 100% been my experience. There are just some massive KU tools in Wichita, many of whom haven't even attended a college, much less KU.

These are the KU fans I can't stand the most. I have a bunch of family that have never even set foot on the Lawrence campus but think the Chicken hawks are the greatest thing ever. They can't understand why I don't root for them just because I live in Kansas.

If you hate KU and have avoided Lawrence because of it, you're making a huge mistake. Great, great town, with a ton of excellent restaurants and things to do. The irony is, I have seen far more KU lawn ornaments and logo'd yard-rocks in Wichita than I have ever seen in Lawrence.

Does that mean the season will be a disappointment if they don't? No doubt, this squad should have no problem in truly believing they can go a long ways in the Dance and actually can. But cr*p happens. Sometimes, no matter how well you play, it's just the other team's day and they play a little better. First, an out right Valley title and for once, I'd like to break the St. Louis jinx. After that, I hope these young men dig down deep and give it everything they've got. They do that and I will be very happy and a very proud Shocker.
