Never mind, I looked at the Drake message board and it doesn't look like anyone has any definite news one way or the other as to whether he will be back. Earlier on there was optimism that he could return from surgery by the NCAA tournament, apparently there hasn't been much solid since then.

We're gonna need Poor Bear to get 5...FIVE fouls. Wear their Big down. Make him work for it...so MO can attack him and draw 5 fouls on their big.

Drake has some athletes and while they lost some bad games, we've been fortunate to win as many close games as we have. I'm just ecstatic we're in and hopefully the players don't play as tight as they did this weekend and Gilbert calms down a bit and goes back to distributing more instead of playing hero ball. If so then we have a chance.
You name gilbert as playing hero ball, but don't leave out TE. He was guilty of several poor shots as well.
I called miss or make on each one of his long shots just as he went into shooting motion. I was wrong twice. He missed all but one when his toes weren't point toward the basket, and he made all but one when they were pointed to the basket. You would think he would know that his twisting and/or side jumping shots almost never fall and are no different than a turnover, most of the time.

I think that's where RC4 is under utilized. That dude can get inside and draw fouls at will it seems. (Depending how officials are calling the game)

Needed that energy against Cincy. One of the guys in the middle towards the back was quickest up. I think, not totally sure, it was C-Jack. No real surprise there.

Will be nice to hopefully have Trevin and Seymore back. They may not play a lot but bodies are bodies in a tournament!!

Hopefully everyone stays clear in the COVID protocol!

The player out for the year is Penn. He was their assist man and a first team all conference pick.

The guys will be ready! Let's work to make sure Big Dawg gives them a pep talk, even if it is over zoom LMAO!

I’m sorry... I agree with you like 100% of the time but I HATE the phrase “ hero ball”... I do see lack of ball movement at times but I see no PROCESS’s on this team...
Shockers move the ball great and win by 10!

The big thing to note is right now they have 2 senior starters that were out for MVC tourney. Their stud/best player COULD be back for Thursday, but we might be playing them down two starters.

Edit: Just saw where he will probably play Thursday. Good for him as a senior.
