I do expect John Cooper to be our head coach someday. John was a great player and it seems is perfecting his coaching skills. I think when 3G retires in say 15 years, John will give up his gig at Duke and come to coach Da Shocks.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

TSU won their 8th straight game tonight, beating Jacksonville State 69-64 in overtime.

A Murray State win against SEMO tomorrow evening will lock up 2nd place for the Tigers. This is noteworthy because the top 2 seeds in the OVC receive a bye to the conference tournament semifinals. Also, the OVC Tournament will be in Nashville this season.

Next up for TSU is their BB game @ Miami, OH.

Forgive me if this was mentioned earlier, but Mike Kennedy mentioned this in the pregame last week and said he texted John and Coop replied that the best thing about the win was all the well wishes he received from Shocker Nation.......many of them from people he didn't even know. He told Mike that Shocker fans are the best fans in the world.

John Cooper was THE best person I had ever met associated with WSU Basketball, ever.

Garrett Stutz and John Cooper are now 1 and 1a.

I am a very lucky man.

John Cooper will be a great coach wherever he goes. And he will be a better man.

Coop won his 9th straight today, defeating Miami (OH) on the road 68-61.

TSU is now 19-10. Their one remaining regular season game is at home against Murray State this week. The Tigers have clinched 2nd place in the OVC, which guarantees them a bye to the conference tournament semifinals in Nashville.

Tennessee State (20-11) advanced to the championship game of the OVC tournament with a 59-52 win against Morehead State this evening. The Tigers have won 20 games for the first time since 1979.

Tomorrow they will play against Murray State at 2 PM EST on ESPN2 for their first tournament bid since 1994. Good luck to Coop!

Coop has done a great job at TN St. Hope his team defeats Murray St and makes the Dance. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

Had a nice chat with Coop while wiating on a connection in O'Hare. It was right after MT was hired. I could instantly tell he has a soft place in his heart for Wichita. Very sincere, likeable and down to earth individual.

How come Valley refs don't try to protect our seed?

Refs don't protect anyone's seed. Fans just have these wierd beliefs sometimes.
