Jimmy dykes said it, and some other guy said it right after the loss.

Amazing how fast a media darling can be dumped.

Those guys may be right, Murry State's rpi dropped from 37 to 52 after losing to Tennessee State.

But losing to #22 rpi SMC shouldn't keep a team out that would have been in otherwise.

The loss certainly puts Murry State on or near the bubble.

Megacongrats to Coop. They get MSU one more time in Nashville to close out the regular season.

TSU has almost everyone back next year and will be one of the nation's most experienced teams. John will have some nice opportunities present themselves over the next two offseasons.

I give an assist to Coach Ford on the win. Lots of his recruits playing big minutes.

Interesting sidenote- the win guarantees TSU their first winning season in FIFTEEN years. That is one hell of a drought.

Even more impressive considering that he endured a total housecleaning during his first season that left him with 6 players on the roster, only 5 of which were on scholarship.

Success could not happen to a better guy. Coop was the late 80s/early 90s version of Garrett Stutz in terms of being a quality individual.

I was incorrect. The purge during his first year in 2009-10 left TSU with 4 scholarship players, not 5.

Thanks for the love fellas! We are excited for our team and Coach Cooper. It wasn't easy watching him clean house...but can't argue with the recent success.

Good luck to you guys on your remaing schedule.
