  • Smoke the Jays!!!!!

I know I'm way early, but I am so psyched up for Saturday. CU has their back against the wall and will giving it 100% but if the Shocks come out like they did tonight, they will win. I haven't looked forward to a game like this in I don't know when. Should be an epic game.

I am with you. It is the biggest game of the year. I am pumped for it! With CU's recent loses, beating them may no longer get us into the top 25 but it will get us a lot closer and could still get us there.

Biggest regular season game for either squad in a long, long time. This team has a chance to be one of the very best in our program's proud history. Winning on Saturday goes a long way towards that goal.

The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Oh not only do we feel vengeful, but it's a sunny day indeed.

This IS the biggest game of the year - hands down. This game means so damn much in terms of regular season title hopes, top 25 ranking, avoiding the dreaded 8/9 seed in the NCAA's, not to mention giving the guys a huge emotional boost going into the tail end of the season. They are capable of wining, it's going to take a complete game to do it, and I'm so damn nervous. Carpe Diem Shox!

Warren Nolan has our rpi at #18 after tonight's win. If we can beat CU on Saturday and then win out, we could be looking at a 4 seed. Other rating systems like Kenpom already have us in top 15.

How did Creighton get an extra day off before playing the shocks? Scheduling quirk?

Evansville had a hockey game in their rented facility tonight. It probably helped UE beat a tired CU team on Tuesday. Hopefully the extra day of rest won't make any difference when the Jays and Shocks play on Saturday.

I can't help but feel very good about our team. I'm taking the Shocks on this one. Our guys want it bad.

Creighton's beat writer Steven Pivovar for the Omaha World-Herald, ranks WSU #1 this week in his Missouri Valley rankings. He has had us third behind CU and MoST most of the season:

He also wrote a nice article on Stutz after the UNI game: "Garrett Stutz Missouri Valley Player of the Year"

We won't shoot it on Saturday like we did last night. That was a once or twice in a year type of output. We don't have to shoot it like that to beat CU, though. We just can't afford a 1 for 17 from three type of night.

Wonder if that was meant to be locker room post-up material for CU. Whether it was or not, it's probably stuck on lockers now and the second article on someone specfic's locker.
