UE 31, CU 26. 2:11 left in the first half. Jays really do seem out of sync. I keep expecting them to get their act together but it isn't happening so far. McD hits a 3 to cut the lead to 5. Only the second 3 from CU.
UE 33 CU 28 1 minute left in the first half. UE has been playing with a very small lineup (6 '6 " or smaller) for most of the half as Sawvill picked up 2 fouls pretty fast. In spite of his obvious size advantage, Creighton's big guy has done almost nothing.
UE 33, CU 31 Half-time CU's freshman Austin Chapman has been playing very well for CU. He's keeping them in the game, has 8 points so far and has made some big plays for the Jays. Including a 3 point play to cut the lead to 2. The closest the Jays have been in a long time in the game.
Creighton will win by 10+. They're just going through the motions right now in a dead arena. They'll realize what's at stake and blow away UE in the 2nd half.

Agreed. They're just toying with EU at this point.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

As for this not being a rivalry. I consider nearly every matchup with all teams a rivalry to some extent, just due to the fact that we can all think of a time when one team or another was the top dog. Creighton, however, holds a dear spot in my realm of hatred. Going back to Tony Beroni (sp) Benoit Benjamin, Bob Harstad/Gallagher. All of the many Delta Bravos that have worn the Blue Jay uniform, including the Asshat in the cloth at the end of their bench. There are just sooo many things about Creighton that makes me despise them on various levels. Whether they consider it a rivalry or not does not concern me. For them to admit it, would mean for them to admit that there are 9 other teams that make up the Valley, as opposed to just them. What we have is the Valley's version of the KU fan. And the only way to deal with it, is to defeat it where ever it is encountered (Which WSU has done a piss poor job of in general, and that gripes me too). This cannot stand, and it needs to be dealt with.
That is all.
