We've rarely shot poorly two games in a row from 3. I'm afraid that if we only hit one three ball this game, we'll come out with a loss. However, we wing this game by ten.

If we keep House of Pain and James from getting open threes and going nuts I like our chances.

There was a very interesting stat in the CU-UNI game which probably had a lot to do with the outcome.

Turnovers: Creighton 11, Northern Iowa 2

2 turnovers. You will not see that kind of ball security very often. Hopefully, the Shocks can turn the Panthers over a little more than once per half.

Would be a good time for David to break out of his slump. Might want to run an alley-oop or two for David to try and bust him loose.

Will 3G be willing to show some zone to UNI to see how they react to it? He went to that late in the game in Cedar Falls and I think it was a key to our come back win there. They have struggled against zone defenses at times this year.

I'm sure UNI views this game as an opportunity to get solidly back into the at-large discussion. This will be a tough game. Shocks need to bring the A game.

Speaking of zone I have seen the zone played more this year by the Shox than I have in the previous 10 years combined. I love the way they use it to give an offense a different look a time or two down the court. Have I mentioned I have a man crush on HCGM.

Here's the deal. NIU did us a nice deed which we appreciate. They are well coached and are never ever to be taken lightly. However, we need to sweep them off their feet. This is our time. They have already had theirs 2 Seasons ago. The rest of our schedule is very tough and we do understand how important each win is from here.

                Shocks win---Shocks win--77

                who was it we play?-------70

NIU has been really fluky on the road. They are a basketball team that looks like Thursday Night Delight one game and like world beaters the next.

We better be ready and expect NIU to try and do what they did last year - play above their heads in a big time environment. They relish playing here compared to the 4,000 fans that show up in Frostbite Falls on a nightly basis.

We need to pound this team.

Yes indeed, we must pound them because they will be the kings of flopping, and will try to thwart Mr. Stutz all night long.

Maybe the student section could start a "NO MORE FLOPS, NO MORE FLOPS" chant once UNI does a flop. It might spook UNI a little bit and might make the refs a little more sensitive to the flopping.

                        I like this.

It would be really nice if we could get a comfortable, double-digit victory so that our core seven guys can enjoy a little rest and be fresh for Creighton.

With that said...I will of course be happy with a 1 point win as well. Beggars can't be choosers when playing top 50ish teams.

                          Gonna be a tight one:

                          WSU - 68
                          UNI - 63

That's actually one of the better ideas you have ever came up with here. That would be great if it was relayed to the student section. Unfortunately the chances of that happening combined with the likelihood of execution = nil.

It's about time WSU recruit a flop specialist. Just some skinny dude that does nothing other than stand there, grab his crotch, and go down like a tree; then writhe around like a soccer player with an appendix that burst so we can sub him off and let Garrett shoot the free throws. Vautravers?

Would also be awesome to call out individual players:

                                "Koch's a flopper! Koch's a flopper!"
                                "Moran's a flopper! Moran's a flopper!"
