I tweeted it out, and posted it on facebook. I voted and he was still at 52.

Multiple people have reported it decreasing when they voted for him. It makes you wonder if they have the links transposed or something and we are actually voting against him due to a technical screwup?

I'd say it's more likely that it just updates every so often and we just so happen to vote while we're getting beat over a 10 minute span.

And as I type this, I decided to throw up a vote against the Clemson guy, and the % went down.

Something smells stinky about this voting contest.

I noticed it do that a couple of different days last round, but he won like 85% to 15% so I'm pretty sure the votes are registering correctly. I'm not surprised it's close, that Ashford University has 45,000 likes on their page and seems to be a very active Facebook page and they are asking people to vote.

On a positive note, only about 8 of my friends "Liked" the Dunk Contest page last week and now it's up to almost 30. Hopefully it keeps spreading to Shocker Nation and we keep voting.

And somebody said it was printed in the Sacramento Bee? So in an actual newspaper? I'd say we're doing pretty well to keep up to that. It'd be nice if our own local paper/website would give DK some run. That'd probably spread the word pretty quickly.

The key is not just getting people to vote, but to vote every day.

It seemed like as the voting was winding down last round, the support for DK picked up. I was seeing random facebook posts about it on different pages and stuff. I think there was a pretty big spike in % when that happened too. We just need to get those people informed again.

I voted this morning again. Someone called in to Sports Daily this morning about the Darkhorse voting and Bruce and Bob had no clue what he was talking about. So we may have reached a few more people with that call. Kudos to whoever made the call. I suspect that may well have been a ShockerNet member, although I don't know that for sure. Anyone want to take credit.

A lot of people may not realize that each round reset to zero, so a big lead in Round 1 does not carryover to Round 2, etc.

50/50 now. Considering he was ahead by 20% yesterday morning, I'd say the odds of him winning this round are now slim to none.

Yep. Posting on the MVCfans = Shocker Hate site was not the best of ideas.

Wichita State desperately needs to add a "Wichita State University Athletics" page where they push most of their sports related information. That's a key to making Facebook specific votes happen -- WSU could be pushing out to thousands and thousands of people reminders to vote for Kyles, among other things.

Edit: After posting that I went to GoShockers.com and found their link. Man they should focus on that sucker instead of burying it.

Double Edit: And I don't see anything recent on there about voting for Kyles. In face I don't see anything old about voting for Kyles on there.

Triple Edit: Well it is on the Men's basketball facebook page, just not on the generic athletics page. I guess that's as good as they can do really.

Quadruple Edit: Yes, I enjoy talking to myself. Stay posted for a fifth edit tomorrow!

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.
