I was thinking the same thing. Question is, can the league name the autobid team or must it come from the league tourny? If they name the league champion as the auto, suddenly we have a shot of having 3 bids.

According to Arresco, it is up to each conference to decide who to send if there ends up being no tourney, but they have to notify the NCAA what there plan is this week. If WSU wins regular season, then surely they will say the American will send their league champion as the auto, since Houston will definitely be an at-large.

Now that Saturday had been cancelled, we REALLY need Wednesday’s game to happen, if not, we will fall to 2nd place if Houston goes 2-0. If we do get Wednesday’s game in and win, we will remain in first place by percentage points, while being a full game and a half BEHIND Houston in the standings. Guarantee you that’s never happened before

SMU should just pack it in for the season. The crazy thing is that even with all there problems and two extended layoffs, they’ve played just as many games as we have.
