If Dex can shoot around 40%, + or - a few % points, it will be huge for the team. Mike Kennedy (or someone) made the point that Dexters end of season numbers usually end up around 40% but the journey is full of high peaks and low valleys.
That’s kind of generally just how it goes for even great shooters but it would be nice if he could find a way to tighten his groupings to be a little more reliable on a game to game basis. We’re getting him open looks, he needs to keep taking them, they will fall.
I agree with everyone else regarding his mid range/drive game. I know the analytics guys want to turn basketball into a strict 3 point/layup/dunk/free throw game but you can’t just completely abandon the midrange, especially if you’re shooting wide open shots that you can hit at a high %.

Ragland made 1.8 3s per game with 3.7 attempts. He should have shot more ! He shot an incredible 62% from 2.

His worst shooting year was his senior year: 41.2 FG% , 28.9 3pt%
His best FG% was his freshman year at 50.8%
HIs best 3pt% was his junior year at 37.1%. He shot his second best 3pt% his sophomore year at 36.4%.
Now his best FT% was his senior year at 70.5%.
