  • Wichita State vs. Emporia State Game Thread 12-18-20

EMPORIA STATE (3-1) at WICHITA STATE (2-2)
    FRIDAY, DEC. 18, 2020 | 6:01 P.M. CT
WICHITA, KAN. / CHARLES KOCH ARENA (COVID CAPACITY 10%)
TV: ESPN+ Shane Dennis and Bob Hull on the call
    RADIO: KEYN 103.7 FM (GoShockers.com/Listen)
SERIES: WSU leads 42-28 (22-12 in Wichita)

Last meeting - Nov. 21, 2015 Playing without VanVleet (hamstring), No. 9 WSU rode its defense and 23 point from fellow senior Baker to a 76-54 victory. Gregg Marshall notched his 400th career win. VanVleet's string of 112-consecutive games and 73-straight starts ended due to a hamstring injury suffered during the preseason and reaggravated during a loss at Tulsa earlier in the week. Freshman Landry Shamet instead made his first career start and finished with nine points. The following day he was diagnosed with what would turn out to be a season-ending foot injury.

    G.D.B.

I would like to see us jump out big early then get a chance to see some of the young guys get extended minutes. Need to feed Bilau and let RC4 and CP2 loose. First things first, get out to a big comfortable lead.

"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I'm about to say something I never imagined would be uttered in the history of the world . . .

Morris Udeze may be our best free throw shooter.

AG shoulda passed to RC4, went all the way instead, missed a circus layup

We're going to have to go with MJ (for Monzy Jacklson). That will leave CJ for Chaunce Jenkins. Some of the Fr might be a little tight with a rather quick trigger.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Yeah, once he commits its over. Just try and rebound lol. But he does get his shot off generally.

One thing that is nice about Porter. Just a better assist man. Always lookin for the open man
