Exactly kc11.. The biggest difference between KU and WSU this season is not talent... It's depth. I find it hard to believe that KU and their 7(?) man roster could crush WSU this year in a NCAA tournament battle or a 10 game series.. WSU has 4 post players that see time on the court. Stutz, Hall, Nightmare, White. Is Lutz thinking T-Rob is a T-Rex and tears right through all 4 of those players? For some reason I can't see that happening. He maybe able to get Carl Hall in foul trouble.. But even if that did happen, "sick him Jake.. Let's see what you got."

It's merely in another drought actually. The first drought took place from 1955-1981. A couple of things could make it flare up again. It's already happened once. Sure would like to know though why KU basketball has historically (since the 50's) avoided WSU.. Doesn't make much sense.

I hope we collide with anyone in the tournament!
"Ralph Miller was one of the finest coaches in the history of intercollegiate basketball. His teams were always fundamentally sound, team oriented, well conditioned, and ran both their offense and defense with great patience. I know of no coach whose teams competed against his, whether it be at Wichita State, Iowa, or Oregon State, who did not have great respect for him."—John Wooden

It's totally different now with the giant stadiums. Kemper was 98% KU fans. It was an insane advantage for a National Championship game, made worse by the inclusion of a hated and superior Oklahoma team. KU fans understand they get their *** handed to them in the man's sport, and that's tolerable because they dominate basketball....when OU joined KU at the top, all hell broke loose, especially with the brashness of the Sooner program.

That arena type setup will never happen again. Nothing that could have been done about it, and I am not taking anything away from KU, but they had ZERO chance of winning that game anywhere but Kemper or Allen. And if every game before that doesn't fall into place as well, it's unlikely they even get to the FF. Like I said, it was hitting the lottery. And don't forget, they were cheating their asses off at the time.

We play better on the road lately.

                Die thread die.
