Which idiot are you referring to? The jake white call?

          • Warren Nolan rpis after tonight's games: CU #11 (WOW!) WSU #24, UNI #50 (the downfall continues), SWOMO #85. That is it for the top 100 for Valley teams.

Rest of the Valley: The Drake #105, Ill. St #115, Indy St. #125, UE- #140 (they really seem better to me than that), BU- #214, SIU -#231

Other teams of interest: UNLV #7 (ANOTHER WOW!), Temple #15 (a mini-wow), Alabama #41 (they are falling), Colorado #68

            • The upside is we wont have to play BU and SIU, which are the 2 worst RPI teams in the MVC

Before the Season began, The good Doc and ShockRef were making mention that DWill would have a very nice Season. Tonight, the 10 assists were very impressive. He was in the flow of the game to the max and playing under control. He also swarms on the D. Next Season, he will really be solid even more so, most likely at the 2 position?

Yes that could put them in contention category. Actually they need a Carl Hall more than a Stutz at this point. But either one would take them a loong way. Just not sure they can turn that corner. We shall see if Simmons can recruit.

That too could be very painful. YIPES, STRIPES, BEECHNUT GUM. Some of these callers must want eggs in their beer?

That is what happens when you schedule to many 200+ RPI teams in non-conference and have a bradley and SIU in addition on the schedule (and lose to couple of them). Then they have a losing record against 101-150 teams.

                        • Evansville is tough. Hope they make the postseason somewhere. I think that they could do some damage.

The stats don't lie. They are who they are and that is a middling Division I basketball team.

That's what happens when you have losses to Tennessee Tech and Illinois-Chicago on the resume, not to mention TCU at home. They are a .500 basketball team. Don't be surprised if they finish at that or below that when it is all said and done.

You have to finish above .500 to qualify for postseason.

I've always liked DWill but I was never sure that he was good enough to 1)start at PG next year and 2) start at either guard next year. I thought that he'd be a good back up for his career. But while his shooting has not been good, his floor game has definitely put him on the track to complete this year as a starter and begin next year as the back court leader. He's getting every game as a floor leader and has become a very nice replacement for Ragland (I don't see a big drop when he is in at PG). I'm not sure where he'll start next year but he'll start at one of the guard positions.
