Crowd needs to share in the blame for the 15 point loss in the second half

That rubber band contest was about the lamest thing I have ever seen. Perhaps even worse than the kids driving the KDOT kid cars slooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwllllllllyyyyyyy through some alleged obstacle course.

If you wonder why the crowd was quiet in the second half it could have something to do with sucky half-time shows and watching a guy shoot rubber bands at red plastic cups as our entertainment when the game isn't going on. Between the red cups, rubber bands and ping pong balls, Athletics probably spent six dollars for those particular activities. It's one thing to cut budgets, it's another not to have one at all. If you want to keep the crowd going don't say "let's get the loudest 'Go Shockers' we can" before the cheerleaders are in position to hold up the signs. Oh, and not having our seniors (Ben Smith excluded) play like freshmen, like this senior class has every year, wouldn't hurt either. Can you tell I'm bitter?

Although I think this is the wrong thread to keep bumping as its original premise is just garbage, I agree with every word of your post. Ever since ES has taken over, our in game production and entertainment has tanked and it's hard to believe, but it's actually gotten worse. Saturday in front of a big rival and packed house on national tv, that was extremely embarrassing and wouldnt have passed at a biddy basketball game. Totally deplorable.

There is nothing worse in all of sports, in the entire country, than the KDOT kid cars at halftime. Even the continuation of this thread is not half of the atrocity of the KDOT kid cars. Seriously. Nothing.

This is totally off topic off the subject that is being discussed right now, but I am a resident of Springfield MO and a MSU Bears fan (don't hate me yet). I just wanted to say how sorry I am and in complete shock about Boeing closing the plant in Wichita. My company in Missouri does business with Wichita, and I travel to Wichita at least twice a month for business. I apoligize for hijacking this thread, but just wanted to vent about the closing of the plant, from a Missouri State bears fan , I am truly sorry for this sad day in Wichita history today...Cant believe that Boeing is doing this. What many dont realize is the financial hit that this will take on the many outside vendors that do business in Wichita with the other manufactures in the airline business, hell look at me I drive five hours ea. way to do business in Wichita and there are many others where I live that come to town to do the same...Sad freakin day!!!On another front, congrats for the past season you had and wish you nothing but good luck in the future except of course when you play MSU...Now lets just get a decent road between Wichita and Springfield

It is going to have a major ripple affect throughout our economy, including fewer season ticket sales, SASO contributions and donations to WSU.

The Shockers have had a harder time selling out games this year with the economy as bad as it has been, this will just make it even harder.

Thank you for hijacking this ridiculous thread. I know I cheered my lungs out to the point of dizziness for my team, even what that garbage of a second half.

But referring to what you mentioned, I am extremely heartbroken over Boeing leaving. More so than this silly basketball game. As a Aerospace Engineering major, I am deeply afraid for my potential future career. My life goal was to get a degree here at WSU and then work here in Wichita. Well, with all these layoffs happening and now this, what the hell do I look forward to? I don't wanna move to Washington or OKC or anywhere like that. I wanna stay here in Wichita. I don't know how much longer the Aerospace job market will be in Wichita. It's on shaky ground.

The Boeing loss is huge. Hopefully Spirit can expand and make up for some of the loss. Also it would be interesting if Airbus were to expand in Wichita.

Shocker basketball (and baseball for the matter) is bound to be affected negatively by the Boeing closure.

At the northeast corner, Kyles let #10 base line drive twice to the basket for two easy buckets. Kyles is quicker and faster than #10. At best, #10 is a mediocre basketball player. Kyles defense on those two drives was pathetic.
