Yes, the crowd did its part. We showed up in black, but as it turns out the black gear was funeral wear as we lay another season to rest. The fans are ready for an NCAA Tournament team but is the team?

I've made my investment to SASO and to the ticket office, I lost my voice as well. I'm ready to cash in on my investment or cash out.

Not a surprise. You're a smart man. The ROI just doesn't support the risk of capital at this juncture.

Ditto ISASO. This team must take care of business and win in Omaha and have no worse than a split with MSU. All other Valley games are must wins. A trip to the finals of Valley tourney finals is also likely a necessity to ensure our dance ticket is punched. The heat is on.

I'm not sure if that was directed at my "Not buying" comment or not. If it was I need to clarify that I am not a smart man. What I wasn't buying is the thought that the crowd needs to share the blame. Have to call BS on that one. I won't give up on the Shocks that easily. Sure financial considerations can force one to have to scale back with the checkbook, but it will take a heckuva lot more than last night's game for me to abandon my love of the Shocks and I will continue to support them financially as best I can (which unfortunately is very moderate at this point).

The crowd didn't miss any defensive assignments in the second half. The crowd didn't go one for fourteen from three in the second half.

I can understand the argument that there are plenty of fans that are lazy and simply just don't make much noise. I am the exact opposite and pride myself on trying to be the loudest person in the arena. I was sitting in the third row of the student section and there were plenty of students that were less than stellar last night especially in the second half. Comparably speaking though I thought it was pretty in line with the rest of the games I've attended this season. This is the second or third subject regarding this topic this year. Maybe overall fan interaction has been dropping for the past several years.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

It's not the crowd's fault that we lost.

Crowd was pretty good and ready to explode. I don't see it.

If all of the players would play just half as hard as what Carl Hall there wouldn't be a reason to blame the fans. I pay my money to SASO and the ticket office I shouldn't have to work harder than the players do in order for us to get a win at home!

I blame the 40 or so idiot student who was chanting "overrated" before the game even started

                          Clang.

The Shocks must have set a record for ugly shots. That 3 ball of Murry's was definitely not a thing of beauty.

Neither was the shot he took in the first half, when he caught it at the perimeter, took 2 dribbles to just inside the 3-pt. stripe, then threw up an off-balance jumper. I can't be sure, but I think I heard the rim yelp in pain when that brick smashed into it.

This is dumb. The crowed was a grenade in a sea of gasoline last night. The team failed to pull the pin. Period.
