Interesting interview with Taylor Eldridge this morning. He says the coaching staff is very high on the new recruits so far and they feel like the potential is there to be as good or better next year, especially if they can land a couple more of the guys they want. Of course the coaches are going to be positive but Taylor agreed with the assessment. It’s pretty much in line with what I see as possible but as always....we shall see.

He noted that with the right center, they will be a tournament team.

Let's hope for good news today .. either Ech back (unlikely) or whoever was still supposed to announce last night fills that spot.

46 did Taylor state the candidate on which he was waiting to commit is in fact a firm commitment to the Shockers? Hope so, as IMO this position needs a significant contributor.

Wouldn't work. Simmons ran some really complex screening motion to get his shooters open. ES would have dribbled out to 28' to get open and put up a turnaround jumper instead of using the screens effectively.

Nothing is firm until they are committed. The fact that Taylor was expecting it last night seems to say it's firmer than most .. but things change.

It might be worth noting that we only get to see highlight clips. Marshall probably gets complete game film from multiple games before he even shows interest, let alone makes offers or accepts commitments.

I guarantee you these boys’ coaches have put together 300 maxed out cds and mailed them to nearly every D1 school in the nation. I got to observe a friend of mine who was a low level D1 recruit. Those guys are less recruit and more player with an agent (coach) trying to get schools to look at them. If you think you have a diamond in the rough type player, you hound coaches until they look at the player.

Wouldn't be a surprise if that kid ends up committing, to WSU or elsewhere, faster than April 4th.

Some recruits have said they were going to wait until they could take official visits, but then a couple days later committed somewhere.

Yeah, like I said, after falling in love with the DeAntoni Gordon recruit video, I have a hard time trusting those.
