This event has become "The Valley vs. the World". I would take Evansville, UNI, Indiana State or Illinois State against any team from any of these other conferences with the exception of St. Mary's. I would take the Valley's top three teams against St. Mary's.

I don't see this event paying dividends next year.

This event loses some of its glitter because they don't pair up teams with similiar RPI's. When you pair up teams with 50-60 RPI disparity, it becomes a predictable win at best.
I am just a fan, but I think I could do a better job of pairing up teams.

My guess is that ESPN won't be able to spend a lot of time discussing rpi during these games because it will be damning.
