It's just my opinion, but I think playing zone helped our offense out. Whenever we're playing man-to-man, we're running around chasing their players, but in a zone, it allows us to rest more while defending, so we're more refreshed on offense. It could just be a coincidence, though.

These days Coach K at Duke and the NBA are playing some zone D for heaven's sake. I believe The General even used it when he was with the Red Raiders, if you can believe it...

It wouldn't hurt GGG to play it just a "little" more would it?

By my logic if it’s ok to call out the players and coaches for their performance in the heat of the moment when so much is on line and decisions must be made in a split second then it’s ok to call out posters who say over the top negative/dumb crap on a message board from the comfort of their couch with no pressure or expectations for them to do anything at all.

Agreed. The overall tone of this board for the last few weeks it seems has been a **** show. The point of my post was just to call it out. I didn’t read through the full thread, so I must’ve avoided a lot of drama in the first several pages. Hoped the win (and the manner which it was achieved) would’ve lightened the mood around here a bit. Oh well.

just laughed my way thru the entire thread. good fans, I guess, but the in game negativity is getting pretty
old. I think the same way much of the time during bad games but refrain from posting. I'll just say this.
We have numerous players capable of big games. TW saved us against Temple. DD & GS today. JE been
doing it fairly consistently. JB usually tough down the stretch. ES has had some very good games, as well.
It's nice to know we have multiple guys who can lead us on any given day but all of them will have their off days too.
Also, I think we should keep GM another few years.

If we win the next 2 plus the first AAC game, it doesn't matter if we play Houston.. we are in win or lose

I had to shut the game off right after Trey's trey made it 56-58 with just under 4 to play as I had a meeting I had to deal with. Just now checking back in.

Just Wow! Talk about pulling your season back from the brink.

Shocks still control their destiny somehow! Hopefully, this unbelievable win will have some carry over effect. Dexter was just fantastic. Seems like that sabbatical was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

Looking forward to catching replay of the final run to victory later this evening.

Interesting that you chose to post that comment in the middle of a game when we were losing big as though it proved you were correct but when we actually won the game the result is suddenly irrelevant.

Took the annual trip to watch WSU in person with my son. During our timeout when WSU was down 24 my son wanted to go home. I had no hope, but I made sure he understood that we weren’t leaving.

The entire game makes no sense to me, but it sure was fun to be there. All hell broke loose during the UCONN debacle. Maybe this will be the turnaround point.
