Got the ju ju going back in our favor, this is awesome. Just goes to show we still have some great pieces and a great coach. We’ve just got to evolve a bit more in this league and incorporate things like more zone and calling timeouts at key moments to help these young guys regroup.

The answer is we did do the damage w/o ES. Earlier in the year, he carried us to several wins. To his credit, he was on the bench cheering for the guys in the game doing that damage. He was very excited for the team.

He spent it all on the bench. Standing for most of it. When Grant hit the one of the 3’s to start the run he was the only guy standing and cheering.

He was also the first guy off the bench at a timeout.

Hope this galvanizes the team to support and trust each other. They all want to win. You’ll probably have your chance to shine but if you aren’t playing well, be ok with cheering loudly for your team. ES body language was nice to see even given him not playing.

I'm not sure it has any real utility, but ESPN has a win probability chart that runs real-time throughout a given game. At 13:53 in the 2nd SMU had a 99.8% chance of winning. So basically we beat 500:1 odds at that point. Again, according to some gizmo that ESPN uses to attract eyes to their app, but still...

3rd biggest halftime comeback in the history of the program. Likely (I couldn't find the stat) the biggest comeback in the history of the program, and almost certainly, in less than a half, and on the road, and not against someone named Drake or Western Bumscratch. I'd venture 24 point 2nd half road wins in D1 total less than 5 this year, maybe 1 among top 100 teams, and maybe what, 10 this century? Down 24 on the road, in the 2nd half? I'm surprised it was on 99.8 as SHOCKvalue said.

And just remember, SMU isn't chopped liver. 19-9 9-7 in conference and until today, undefeated in conference at home.
