I think it's ridiculous that Etienne is even close to him.

Considering that Etienne is surrounded by less offensive talent than Shamet was, I would agree.

I will say this, though. Etienne is not a primary ball-handler or go-to scorer like Shamet was. He plays off the ball while Shamet played on the ball. So there's a distinction there.

Yeah, but that was somewhat out of necessity.

True, I'm just saying when Shamet played on the ball, it meant that he had to find his own shot more than Etienne does currently.

I think we should run more sets for Etienne but I don't make $3.5 mil.

1000x this. He’s are only consistent threat. Needs 15 looks a game. Do you think the outcome of the last game might have been different if he had taken three attempts in the final two minutes? Prior to the one he hit at the very end of course.

Agreed. I loved the hammer set we ran at the end that got him an open look. He's great in catch and shoot situations.

Near the end of the UC game, when ES had the ball (and ultimately took the 3), I was screaming at the TV for us to get it to Tyson in the corner. He gets his shot off so fast he doesn't need a lot of space. Wish we would have passed inside and then distributed out on the collapse, or a drive and dish would have been nice too. Seems we found those guys in the "windows" a bit better earlier in the season.

Would be curious to see DDs number broken down by first half of the season vs 2nd half. He went through that bad slump that I’m sure is dragging his number lower.

I wonder if egos are creeping in and guys are wanting the shot for themself...or defenses are watching film and adjusting better than us. I don’t rewatch games so I don’t know the answer.

I just think we are bad shooters in games because we cannot replicate the length and athleticism of AAC defenses while in practice. I'm sure we look good making them in practice though.
