They did server maintenance last night, exactly during the time of the game thread. I knew in advance, but figured losing a few posts, was the best course of action, considering, the other option was to shut the board down for 12 hours or so.

One of the things I really like about Marshall is his ability to adjust the offense and defense during the course of the game to account for our weaknesses. How many coaches have we had in the past that almost refused to go to a zone defense? The zone in the 2nd half combined with our full court press was the difference maker last night. TU was totally unprepared to make their own adjustments and we just took it from there.

I can think of at least one former very recent head coach that refused to play zone for more than one possession.

Why in the world is server maintenance done during Prime Time????? If it means losing threads and/or posts, the board should be taken off-line. 12 hours??? The gap looks like maybe 3 hours or so.

This shouldn't happen again and full disclosure in advance it your best bet.

I suspect the software for this site resides in the UK. If so, then when it is 9:00 PM here, it is 3:00 AM in the UK.

Server maintenance at 3:00 AM probably makes sense in the UK.

If you guys want to discuss the server maintenance issue, there is a thread up about it in the comments and concerns section of the forum. Lets try and stay on track with the game thread, I do appreciate the support from all you guys though, I really do.

That issue is very much a part of the game thread considering 80% of it vanished due to the server thing. It's quite disappointing since I like to go back thru and read this thread after a game. I can't do that now. Wish I'd known ahead of time that it was at least a possibility. If that were the case, at least many of us could have gone to MVCFans and had a running dialogue over there since they have a game thread, but it doens't normally get much action since we're here. But you can't really seperate this thread from the server since the server ate it.

Learning experience for all. Advance notice to membership, leave board open, members can post here or elsewhere during that time, and on certain threads, they can wait to post on them later if they wish.
