Were they using Metro Sports cameras tonight? I have to say, the picture seemed much clearer and that was refreshing.

Student 1: Why are there so many Wichita fans here?
Student 2: Don't know, maybe Wichita is close.
Student 1: I don't care how close it is, I wouldn't go to a game there. I barely came to this game.
Student 2: Hmmmm, I wonder where Wichita is?
Student 1: I'm not sure, but I think it might be in Texas.[/QUOTE]

Since most of this thread is gone, I'm just going to reinterate what a great sequence EO sparked at around the 8 minute mark...total game changer! Disrupts one shot in the lane Tulsa with the offensive rebound and reset...EO blocks the shot and sends it into the stratosphere off the bounce. Shocker guard (TM maybe) snatches the ball and Murry ends up with an impressive fast break lay up and 1. Next possession (maybe one in between) EO fronts his man and disallows the entry over the top! The Huricane dies out and Shocks are sparked on to victory. EO might not be able to score, but what incredible dominance he displayed on the defensive end!!!Livin the dream

I agree on EO. It's refreshing to see him play confident in meaningful minutes. What strikes me even more is the composure we've had against diversity. You never see a 3G team give up.
Things I observed:
1. While Joe did force a few layups, I give him a pass. How many times have we seen him go flying down the lane, make the basket, and skid across the floor? I love his heart, and I wish we had him another year!
2. While Stutz has been a whistle magnet this year, he always manages to put up double figures in scoring. When we look down low, good things happen...with Stutz or Hall.
3. Mr. Hall has earned his nickname. He reminds me of SIU's forwards in their hayday.
4. Toure's confidence has been, and always will be, his biggest challenge. He has all-world talent, but needs to find a way to keep an even keel. It's also interesting to see how his game has evolved. He really makes his hay with the mid-range floaters/jumpers. I still have faith in him.
5. Kyles is Kyles. His defense is fantastic at times, and mostly makes up for his streaky shooting. I'm glad he has started to limit the forced shots.
6. Finally, EO has arrived. As my 14 year old sister astutely pointed out, "He is awesome until they pass him the ball". It seems that is what we'll have with him. Maybe someone can rig up a Jugs machine to fire passes at him in practice...

Oh, the humanity. 12 pages of some of the most astute, insightful and witty in-game fan commentary on the world wide web gone in an instant.
On a more serious note. Any word on what happened? Is it safe to be visiting this site?Last edited by 1972Shocker; December 8, 2011, 11:33 AM.

One of the things I really like about Marshall is his ability to adjust the offense and defense during the course of the game to account for our weaknesses. How many coaches have we had in the past that almost refused to go to a zone defense? The zone in the 2nd half combined with our full court press was the difference maker last night. TU was totally unprepared to make their own adjustments and we just took it from there.
