Came down to not having the length and physicality to go with Cincinnati. The team shot better tonight but not well enough to overcome their length.

Welp, while we have improved from last year, we all got fooled by our schedule. We'll continue our consecutive streak of 20 plus win seasons, but the NCAA tourney is looking less and less likely because we can't beat above average teams.

It's very clear we're just a team who can beat bad teams but really struggle with good ones. Just not quite there yet. Oh well, losses are becoming less painful since I've lowered my expectations for this year.

Why is it so ****** hard for WSU to deny the ball to the others team best player in the final minutes. Why? I have seen this stupid sht many times. For example JH VCU, Joyner kid from Tulsa, and now Cumberland from Cincy. When they called a time out did anybody think they were not going to give the ball to Cumberland. WTF We could have doubled team and forced him to pass. But as usual just let him score. Fk that. I knew the game was over when they let him get the ball. So sad to see this mistake made over and over again.

No, defensive lapses through out the game was the difference with the one at the end just horrible. DD flat out got beat
to his left - something that should have never happened. Over play his right and make him go back to the middle where
you have help. Terrible defense by DD but TE lost his man twice during the game and JB twice, DD on another occasion
and MU once. THOSE were the difference ( 13pts on 6-6 ). Both Cumberlands killed us. Hello NIT

This game was lost with bad defense. Not getting back on defense is also inexcusable.
