I honestly don’t think he’ll need to play that many minutes to get his shot. ACU doesn’t seem to guard the perimeter all that well and they certainly haven’t seen a 3 point stud such as ETN.

My question is, why is this not the first game of the season, where it belongs? It would have been nice for the schedule to keep increasing in intensity.

Looks like more than a few D-1 teams were wanting an easy get back into the swing of things game coming off of Christmas break. Also not sure when this game was added to the Shocker schedule but Abilene Christian was 23-7 last year with a NET ranking of 154 and an NCAA appearance. OTOH Abilene Christian itself has played 4 non-D-1 opponents so far this year.

Abilene Christian currently has a NET ranking of 238 which is more or less comparable to the ECU at 218 before the Shock embark on another tough 5-game stretch against teams with NET Rankings of 51, 15, 65, 42 and 39. Personally, I am very pleased with the way this year's schedule has worked out. Especially now that the Shocks need to adapt to playing without Dexter for who knows how long.

Hopefully, the Shocks will use these 2 games to their advantage in preparation for the upcoming gauntlet they will face.

With all due respect. This guy is good.
Think about it. What else, how else can you motivate ACU to play better tomorrow? He found a very unique way of looking at tomorrow's game and uses it to pep his players. Good for him. But the reality is they are not going to win. But he can't say that.

By not really explaining what the "formula" is it will be easy to explain a loss in that they just didn't play the same "formula" that has brought them their most recent wins. Easy out to explain this loss today.
