Kansas State is not the type of school to be accepting 2 for 1's with. They are simply not of that stature. A Sprint-IBA series is the only one that makes sense for us. KU would be entirely different, obviously. But Kansas State? Even Steven or no thanks.

BBOB gets reps from me as well. Solid post.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

I would accept that deal, if and only if, WSU season ticket holders had first shot at Intrust tickets while sprint was split evenly from the start. Only in that type of setup would I view it as a 1-1-1.

I still take that Sprint - IBA - Bramlage deal over the alternatives we seem to be left with otherwise and I'm confident that you would prefer that also over some of the buy-in opponents we might otherwise be stuck with. Sure I would prefer a Sprint - IBA rotation or even a Bramlage - IBA rotation but that doesn't seem to be in the cards right now. If we could get a Sprint - IBA - Bramlage deal I would probably take it and see how it goes.

The folks up in Topeka need to get in on this business, but oh yeah they don't care. Brownback is to busy getting angry at teenage girls for posting insulting tweets... While their busy getting mad over teenage girls insulting tweets, we can sit here and think of ideas that would actually help the Kansas economy, like forcing KU and KSU to play WSU in IBA and Sprint.

I think that is a good point.

Not sure how much playing at the Sprint Center helps the Kansas economy but I understand your point. I would prefer the politicians stay out of it and, unfortunately, if it comes down to politics it is unlikely that KU or KSU will be forced to do anything they do not want to do (especially KU).

I don't believe that the government should get involved in mandating basketball games.

If any level mandated the game, my opinion is it should be the Kansas Board of Regents. It could be argued that it is in the best interest of the budget of the state universities that they play one another in sports.

Wow, even in times like these when it would help the economy?

It just makes sense for some reason. I mean, IBA and Sprint are a huge step up from The Kansas Coliseum and Kemper Arena. A tournament held in Kansas between all the Kansas teams in IBA and Sprint would make perfect sense.

Sprint Center and most of the entertainment things that would be taking the dollars off the fan are located in Mo not Ks

So Missouri's economy couldn't use the boost either? Hmm.

Perhaps, but my response is the same. The BOR will not force KSU or KU (again especially KU) to do anything they do not want to do.

Is this not the point in time where RDR chimes in and teaches us about irony?

No. The moonshine business is booming.
