I can't wait to hear the actual attendence. I'm still hoping that my initial predictions come true (11-12k). I think that would be a pretty good turnout considering the date and opponent.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

Go to the game people - there are cheap seats available if that's what you want. It will really be infuriating when the K-State game draws more than OUR HOME TEAM. How sad that will be. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT NO MATTER THE OPPONENT, and no matter whether your feelings have been hurt a little bit. WE ARE ALL STILL SHOCKER FANS AREN'T WE?

Depends on one's perspective, 72. Any win is generally good for confidence building after losing two in a roll. After watching them play their last three games, they have certainly not shown that they are at this point in time capable of overpowering a decent team. Maybe they will start playing together as a team against UAB. Maybe they will start making a higher percentage of their field goals and free throws, and easy shots. And, maybe they will be able the majority of the time to stop UAB's guards from penetrating. But until that time comes, I'll take any win no matter how ugly and the number of points we win by is of secondary concern.

B)Many people, including me, bought early to get the best seats. I don't mind doing that. Some do, and I understand that. Future promoters will decide what the best way to turn a profit is, and I suspect WSU will have almost as good a shot as anyone at landing a good IBA gig.
C)If you don't go because of a money crunch, I totally get that. No problem. You have to take care of more important things, always. No grief from me. We've all been there. I've been there. Also, if you have travel or family plans around the holiday, again, totally get that. Completely understandable.
D)If you don't go out of spite because you think they should be in the season ticket package, you don't think UAB is "worth it", you want a "bigger name" to justify or you don't like where you might have to sit, then you suck as a fan, period.
Get out of the cave and enjoy the 21st century.
E) Just get your butt to the game.Deuces Valley.

Whether it is the Sedgwick County taxpayers or the management company losing that money is not terribly relevant to WSU or other users. I assume that whoever bears the risk of loss also controls the rates they charge IBA users. If those rates goes up that makes IBA even less attractive to 3rd party promoters (especially if tickets sales are an uncertainty) and to WSU if we are in a scenario where WSU has to rent the arena to host a game they could otherwise host at Koch Arena. Whether the real or perceived benefits justify those costs I can not say.Deuces Valley.

My starting line-up:
1. Joe Rags
2. Toure' Murry
3. Carl Hall *
4. Ben Smith
5. Garrett Stutz
*As much as I love Carl Hall, he's already making me nervous. His ability to rebound and defend is no doubt something this team's been missing, but his shot selection reminds me of a freshman Stutz. I mean, get the ball, turn around and finish strong! Don't just stand there and let the double team force a jump-ball or a turnover!
It wouldn't surprise me to see Tekele Cotton make an early appearance if Carl Hall or Ben Smith get into early foul trouble, and for David Kyles to come out playing sharp and strong.
