I have no idea, but the Shocks performance in PR is probably not going to help any. Who knows, it my even supress turn out some. One thing the UAB game has going for it is that is is not a slam dunk win but it is a must win.

And that's probably an understatement. If posters here thought that poorer than they expected ticket sales would hurt having future games at IBA, think what a "paying extra to see a "home" loss on Thanksgiving weekend to an average fan indifferent 0-2 UAB" could do. First, and foremost, I don't believe we'll lose. Just saying.

UAB has a good program but does not have the local draw/name recognition that a Tulsa or Creighton or even a UNLV would have...compound that with not including it on the season ticket package and you have a mistake that may have kept as many as 4,000 fans away. It either needs to be a BIG name opponent or included in the season package. So I am saying around 10,000......optimistically

If we expect to be in the running for a Valley title, than we have no business losing this game. If we continue to struggle, we may get passed by a team or two in conference.

With that said, the Shox have no business losing to UAB in ICT even if they play like they did in PR. UAB is not Temple or Bama. We win by 11.

We will be in Salina for thanksgiving. I'll put the crowd at 7,500 and Shox win 66-63

I don't have good feel for how many fans will show up, but I am not terribly optimistic. I'm thinking Nebraska NIT type of turnout (7,336). I truly hope I am dead wrong about this.

On the positive side, the fans that do show will be the fans that make most of the noise anyways plus a number of non-season ticket holders who will be more animated than most of the stay-at-home season ticket holders they replace. Again think of an NIT-type home crowd. I think the atmosphere will be OK even if the turn-out is on the relatively low side.

Yes, low turn-out could have some other ramifications but those have been discussed ad nauseum and we'll just have to wait and see how that plays out.

Personally, I hope @kai is on target with his thinking that the crowd will be surprisingly larger than anticipated. Not sure why I am so pessimistic about the turn-out for this game. Maybe all the negativey about it on ShockerNet has gotten to me. Maybe I'm tired of having high expectations and hopes that rarely seem to be met. Expectations fatigue has set in I suppose.
