I am pleased. The new kids look solid. And yes, this will be a tough year to determine who redshirts. The second half was very nice. Carl Hall is a man. I really like Baker. Wessel looked calm and confident. White will contribute. What's really to complain about except the potential to be a little thin up front. And all of this without Murry on the floor. Should be a fun year.

The REAL lowdown:
Stutz: Stud. He just didn't know how to shoot without a 7' there when he turned around. The competition in PR will make him better
Hall: STUD. Imposed his will whenever he chose to. Didn't even allow other Shockers to get the ball. It was HIS!
Cotton: STUD. Nothing flashy, except the dunk. He is in your face, fighting through screens, seems to understand the offense enough Coach Marshall put the ball in his hands.
Kyles: DID NOT CHUCK A SINGLE THREE OUT OF THE OFFENSE. His head seemed to be bugging, but threw one down on a drive through the lane.
Ragland: Welcome back Mr. Ragland. He is the key to how we do this year.
Williams: Nice pull up jumper will freeze many this year. Played under control and had Coach praising him on the sideline. Appeared to tweak his knee on a foul early in 2nd. Did not return.
Orukpe: Ahhh. Oooooh. Ahhhhhhhh. OOH. Yep.
Anacreon: Will be a Ramon type player before he leaves. Won't completely fill a stat sheet, but will hustle to the end.
Baker/Wessel/White: All 3 are RS candidates. Being thin in the post makes White most likely not to. All have AWESOME offensive skills. All lack defensive intensity, understanding.
Vautravers: Will score more points in mop up mins than some players will average in a game. Watch for him to be on the floor in some key 3 point set plays.

I have no idea how the red shirt issue will be handled. I agree that White is the most likely to not due to the thin front line. But in all honesty, Baker, Cotton and Wessel all look to be immediate contributors when called upon. I am more optimistic about our team after tonight than I was after the scrimmage. The defensive intensity will improve especially since we are so deep at the guard spots. Those guys will have to leave it on the floor if they want time.
Great to see Rags out there too. We are a totally different team with him in the game.
