Unless they just decided to break the rules. Which considering everything else going on with WSU right probably isn't smart.

I guess it may depend on if we can line up replacements... KSU have an opening this year ? Maybe one of the Texas teams? A couple buy games maybe?
K-State lost South Dakota State from an event they were hosting in Manhattan. SDSU was supposed to play Drake and Colorado. Not sexy but from a practical standpoint, that wouldn't be a horrible idea to try to get into that event.

Maybe drag Ohio State and Dayton with us?

      • I am not surprised that schools are getting out of this tournament. Look at what is happening in South Dakota with the virus. It is exploding. If you had a daughter or son playing college sports would you let them go to South Dakota? The Governor in South Dakota is nuts. She is stupid.

She has had her head stuck up her butt on this matter. She has taken the same approach as the Governors of Florida, and Texas. She didn't learn anything from their mistakes. Now her State is exploding with the virus and her citizens are dying. No wonder everyone with any sense is saying you have to quarantine for 14 days if you go there.

I really would like to see the shocks start playing some non-conference games this year. I just do not think going to South Dakota is a good idea. The risk is not worth it.

Could the teams play either in Wichita or Dayton?

Awesome! More heroes for the pandumbic. And don't forget that Windmills cause cancer.

              • College basketball probably needs to abandon conferences and focus on a bunch of regional mini-tournaments hosted by individual schools. Attempting to get three games in each weekend. Anything requiring air travel is a recipe for disaster....

Yes. And the odds are against young people even more.

I say head to Ohio and play both of them and then while there play a league game vs Cincinnati. Then if the season gets cancelled the league at least has a first and second place team :)

collehe teams should get their travel games out of the way now before gas and jet fuels are to expensive or illegal to use.

                            • This thing has turned into the Midmajor Frat Party out in the middle of efing nowhere. I would just bounce out of this thing. As it stands now, games against Utah State, South Dakota State, etc. wouldn't be worth home games that we will have to forfeit due to the quarantine.

                              ... No really, deuces.
