It is more unusual than not that WSU has not won more conference tournaments over the last several decades. We haven't ever snuck into the tourney like others have.
I thought that both the 2004 and 2005 Turgeon teams were good enough to win the tourney but then UNI comes out of the blue and wins it. Turgeon told me that he thought we beat SIU if we beat Creighton in 2004. That’s when they stole the ball late from Randy Burns.
Marshall's 2011 and 2012 teams were good enough to win but just couldn't quite do it. Look at St Marys, who lost to Gonzaga by 48 points earlier in the year !!! pull an upset. We didn't lose to Cincy or Houston by no freaking 48 points.
I think we are tourney worthy next year, so why not finally sneak in this year?Comment

I can see us getting maybe one upset, but three? Not very likely. We'd have to play our best ball for 4 games in a row. We barely sneaked by against subpar competition in our last 2 games.Comment

Watching Houston and UConn. Where the devil are their fans? I can understand UConn but I would certainly expect a larger Houston presence... They are not only flying under the radar nationally but unappreciated by their own fans, in my opinion.Comment

At work so can't see the game. There's no Memphis Tiger crowd and the game is being played in Memphis? That's just pathetic. You know IBA would be f***king rockin' right now with yellow and black. Imagine next year in Ft Worth, a much easier drive down I-35. The American better be prepared for Root Angry next year.
