I believe the double letters are the rows actually on the floor.

I guess though we are dealing with a vocal minority.
Perhaps, but I have heard these same comments from some non-Basketball fans who said they attend other events at IBA and simply did not like sitting in the upper bowl and probably would not do it again.

I have only attended one event the Tulsa game in IBA and have not been to the upper bowl. I'm sure there are some decent uppper bowl seats (center cut) and then there may well be some crappy upper bowl seats. Hopefully, I will have time to roam around the Arena this year and check out the upper bowl first hand.

Yes, the floor seats are also double letters... But as for the standard seating, it goes A - Z then goes to double letters.

According to the Intrust website neither the lower or upper bowls go past Z.

That leads me back to the "spoiled" point again. Up until this arena opened, we didn't have a bi-level arena in this town. We had the Crapoliseum, which was composed of one level. The Crapoliseum also is much smaller than IBA, so therefore the top rows of that place are considerably closer than the top rows of IBA, or any other bi-level arena.

Again, it's basic architecture. The larger the facility, the less the quality of seats. Add in another concourse, and the quality drops further. But this is the case of EVERY MAJOR venue in this great country. We are no different. This is the way things are built now. And some people think this place was build too small.. which may be right, but that wouldn't have made anyone else happier.

I do agree that it is a steep angle in the upper bowl. But that's the same way at Arrowhead Stadium or the United Center. I do agree that IBA was flawed in its ceiling layout. It should have been built higher. After that, it's standard. People are simply spoiled and not used to a "big-time" arena. They are used to being packed in like sardines at Koch or the Crapoliseum. It's time to get over it because they aren't gonna pull a "redo" anytime soon. It's either stay at home and miss the basketball games or any other form of entertainment because you're not used to change, pony up more for better seats, or stay home in the basement.

And this isn't directed at you 72. Just going on with the comments you heard from other people.

            • Packed in like sardines refers to IBA, not Koch. Sorry, you have no idea of what you speak.

Would you be shocked if I told you that 70% of Koch's seats have the identical seat width as those in the upper bowl of IBA?

I kinda hope you don't find it in your Shocker heart to go now. You're just an angry, spoiled pisser.

                  • Gee, how does Kentucky manage to get all 24,000 of their seats at center-court within 10 rows of the court??

They have Ashley Judd clones sitting in every third seat. That way everyone gets to sit next to her.

If I were sitting next to her, I have a hunch I wouldn't even notice there was a game on the floor. I remember her first appearance in TV (that I was aware of) way back in the late 80s on Star Trek:TNG.

How can one be "spoiled & "not used to a big time arena"? I got my $47 tix today, complete with surcharges. My seats last year would've been $119 & they sucked. I hope that pos scoreboard is improved. And I hope the extra people add to the atmosphere.

I take a 50 year season ticket holder, had to hold for 22 minutes yesterday to talk to a select a seat rep. That guy could offer no help what-so-ever to find accessible seating. I haven't been in the upper deck, but strongly warned not to take an older guy up there.
I just can't see a positive attribute for WSU playing at IBA. There's beer, but I can wait til after the game. Its more fun to drunkenly spout off after a game.
There are extra peopl but it won't sell out or be as loud as Koch. I suggest that if there are true fans who can't go to Koch & appreciate IBA, do your part, make that place electric. Because it was anything but last year.
