  • I have zero desire to watch a game from the upper bowl. So a ticket to the game really isn't in my budget right now. Others will.

Your choice. Still plenty of front rows available in the upper bowl. Not the upper rows of the upper level, but the front rows. 70% of the people during a sold out event for IBA will sit in the upper bowl. If you think the upper levels at IBA are bad, try going to a larger arena or dome and head to the upper levels.

I hope the players can understand playing in a half-empty arena in Wichita, Kansas for a game.

I have bigger and more important things to worry about with my finances than your happiness Fever. I've spent A LOT of money on this program the past 10 years or so. Much of which is probably considered stupid considering everything else but I do it because I want to be there. Like I've said, things change. My situation is at a point where I probably shouldn't have tickets this year but I just couldn't say no. This will probably be the last year for a while that I'll have them. Hopefully some day in the future I'll get them back. But the Shockers aren't priority one in my life. I love them. Want them to be successful. But not at the risk of my wallet or life. That seems to be hard for you to understand. I'm sorry for you.

The game will be fairly well attended. 13k or so. I highly doubt it'll sell out. UAB isn't going to draw a crowd. It'll all depend on WSU. Tulsa helped the last game. 13k will most likely still be seen as successful considering ticket prices and the people who organized this will make money. It'll be a win/win for all parties involved. I'll watch from home in some form. If I'm home. I'm not sure what the Thanksgiving plans are right now.

          • Did you not read the first or second sentences of the original post I addressed you in?
            I guess not.

I'm not harping on you for not going because of a financial situation. I CLEARLY stated as such in my original post. I'm more interested in the reason that you will refuse to sit in the upper level as one of your reasons for not going. That reason is a lame one IMO.

Again, if $17 is going to make the difference in putting a meal on your plate, then by all means, don't go. And if that is the actual reason then I understand it. I was just confused on how you were able to drop a large sum on season tickets but not $17 on a game in Wichita outside of Koch.

I hope you're 13k prediction is correct, but considering the spoiling of a large part of our fanbase, I'm gonna say it's a long shot.

They're somewhere between row A of the lower level and row V of the upper level.

One thing is for sure, I'll be in the building.

                • I'm with Sub on this. I had to sit in the upper bowl last year and I said I wouldn't do it ever again. Not for a concert or anything else. $17 is a reasonable price for those seats, it's just not worth it to me. I wished I could be there, and I hope to be, but I can't afford to sit on the lower level right now. Attending the game should be fun, and it just wasn't for me in the upper bowl.

                    At least you have goals.

                    • If everybody had the "no to upper bowl" way of thinking like a few have in this forum, there wouldn't be more than a half-sold arena in the entire country ever.

I guess though we are dealing with a vocal minority.

I hope you are right that it is just a vocal minority. We need to have a great crowd for this game.

                          • I wonder why they even build upper bowls in arenas and stadiums. They should build them with only lower levels and no rows past Z. The alphabet ends at Z, therefore that should be the last row. What's this AA, BB, CC crap anyway?

I don't know. I have only been in the place once (the Tulsa game last year) and I don't remember.
