Just got Section 104-Row 4 $67 dollar tickets for 78.75 each. Had to call into INTRUST ticket office to get tickets today with code. I tried to walk up and buy tickets to save fees. No go, they will only sell at INTRUST starting tomorrow. I don't know why these seats were still available unless they are behind a pole or something. But, I am happy now. Maybe that will change when I get to the game. They must be saving some seats and releasing them every day????

It's been a pretty disappointing turnout, I'd say, for Shocker season ticket holders for this game. Either people are holding out til the last minute, or just aren't that interested in Shocker basketball outside of Koch Arena.

PS. 104 Row 4 are great seats. You'll be happy.

This is a rip off. My $32.00 seats cost over $40.00 when all the add ons are included. If Sexton does this again next season he is out of his mind.

What is the possibility of such poor early sales that there is a "fire sale" in the week of Thanksgiving? Or a Groupon type offer? I may wait for that, money is a bit tight for me right now.

I am very anti-administration but it's not the administration's fault. I don't know how many times this can possibly be said. I feel like some of the people in the topic are just messing with everyone else.

The follow is a direct quote from the thread about the Intrust arena game last year that you made SB:

I know that the seating for the IBA game has been under scrutiny and I myself have complained by e-mail to the WSU athletic office. I received a call today apologizing for the location of my seats and letting me know that there qwas nothing that could be done to improve my seating situation. That was disapointing.

However, Dr. Sexton had his staff offer me his personal seats in section 120 and trade for mine in section 218 row U. I declined the offer but I am very impressed by Dr. Sexton. I know he has had his share of criticism on this site but he has really impressed me in this situation and shown his dedication to really make one fan happy. I may still have crappy seats but I'm a lot happier now than before!

Just shows a noisy wheel gets grease. Because he's not obviously making that offer to everybody who complained.

You can't really upgrade 5,000 pissed off fans in the upper level one pair of lower level tickets.


If they continue play at IBA (which they should), they just need to eliminate it from the season ticket package. They'll still make money. It'll save em a lot less headache, hassle, and bitching.

Do that, but perhaps give WSU season ticket holders a short early purchase window like the did for extra tickets this year. That would still give season ticket holders the best shot at the best seats.

One reason why the atmosphere was so good for the fsu nit game was because the fans who never get to sit low in the lower bowl got a chance for this game.

So you are basically saying the the administration screwed up by doing exactly what the fans who complained last year suggested.

The first IBA experience put a bad taste in people mouth. There are more people like '85 that are just not going. Then you have another subset of fans who older type who don't want to deal with buying ticks and being taken out of their comfort zone at Koch and leavng their parking place.

You get outside of those in Shockernet, most people won't know anything about UAB and could care less about RPI. Now had they brought in a B12, SEC or ACC team there might be more buzz and excitement.

ultimately I think it might depend on how good of start WSU gets off to in Puerto Rico.

I think what they are doing is fine. They would have been better off to do it last year.

But I have talked to people who are season ticket holders who are still bitter about last year and just are not going to spend the money in this economy.

I said how the the tickets are being sold this year is fine. Everybody has a choice to spend or not spend. You have choice of sitting where they want or at least trying to find that seat. Just because the AD department just decides to get out of the way doesn't means they are doing a good job. I am scared the day Coach Marshall moves up to a BCS conference.

Y'all are nuts. The average ticket holder has no idea they have to buy these tickets yet. Once the season starts and word gets out they will get swallowed up. Y'all got great seats by being Shockernetters and staying clued in.

All season ticket holders received a letter detailing the arrangement. If they don't know, I would be surprised.
