While complaining about the high prices don't forget that select-a-seat also usually adds about a $12 handling fee on top of the ticket prices. YUK!!!

You can walk up to the box office and puchase tickets without the fee.

I have been checking with other season ticket holder I know hoping to get a earlier code, but everybody seems to have the same day and code (Sept 16).

Of course you do find one, you could post it here for all shockernetters to partake.

I have the code for the 15th...and know where I can get the code for the 12th if I want to pull in my annual favor that I normally save for St. Louis, Maui, NCAA tournaments, etc.

Kind of hard to do that at 10:00 am when I'm at work.

Take an early lunch then. I've been to a couple events where I've saved almost $50 in service fees by driving down to the arena...probably well over $100 total, those service fees add up.

As Marty mentioned, if you go to the box office, you avoid convenience fees. As with life these days, you will pay for convenience. However, if you think select-a-seat is bad, just thank God IBA isn't under Ticketmaster's regime. Then, you'd think $12 a ticket was chump change.

You really have no idea how cheap we are locally with service fees compared to anywhere else nationwide.

Picked up my tickets today. I am concerned about attendance or someone made amends for the bad tickets I got at last year's Intrust game.

                    Doc,

Did you go to Intrust? I was told "on-line or via phone". How much service charge on top of the advertised price? My date is Wed. 9/14.

                    Thanks, --85.

                    • Picked up was a poor choice of words. I tried on line, was given a set of seats, but I wanted options so I called and was given a variety of options.

I am going to add, and I hope I am not causing any problems, but I am speculating that when you call, if you want more tickets than the season tickets you currently have, that you will have no trouble buying as many as you want.

Take it for what it's worth. I am pretty sure I could have purchased 20 tickets if I wanted to....I did not.

85, the fee on line is the same on the phone. Not cheap. It was about $100 total for me.

                      • It seems to me that with ticketmaster and the like they have legalized scalping.

Only it is worse. You have to pay the scalpers from day one on any seats.

At least with the old fashioned scalpers, you only paid them because either the event was sold out and it was the only way to get tickets or to get much better seats.

I think I am going to take some time off and drive down to the arena this time. I just hate paying the scalpers so much.

Thanks for the info. I was able to crack the code for today and discovered about $8-$9 per seat in addition to the already ridiculous seat prices.

This who thing reeks of greed to me. I'm as big a Shocker fan as there is, but asking me to pony up another $700 to buy my 8 tickets at IBA just rubs me wrong. I'm going to, and I hope others do the same, boycott this game. WSU already has my $6000 and they aren't getting any more. Friggin' pisses me off!

                          • The $67.00 tickets for me ended up being $78.50 each. You do the math. On the other hand I got really good seats compared to last year of getting stuck up in the rafters.

                            • What are the prices of KSU and WVU at IBA? I've heard that they are significantly less expensive and if so, is it just the difference in promoters?

My $67 tickets were about $78 after service fees....x10 adds up. Online or over the phone were the only options, so I did over the phone to get exactly where I wanted. As of this afternoon it seems like only a small handful have been sold. The prime center court spots have mostly been blacked out so don't expect to get those.

Over the weekend I thought about getting Toy Story on Ice tickets. Buying them online the tickets were $64 total plus $72 in service fees. Not sure how the service fees can be more than the actual tickets....that's exactly why I normally make the worthwhile drive to the box office and make my ticket purchases.
