Now ... does anybody know when the tickets go on sale? Do season ticket holders have priority or a day or two in advance to purchase tickets?
I want good seats!
WSU season-ticket holders get first shot. They will receive a code that will allow them to buy tickets, based on priority points and history of giving. If you’re first in line, you can choose from any available seat. If you’re in the fourth group, you choose any remaining seats, and so on. WSU will not assign seats. Intrust Bank Arena will hold back an undetermined number of seats – some in prime locations –

Truly I understand that details with the promoter. And I have said I will be going to the game.

Fair enough SB, and I'm glad you will be at the game. As for season ticket holders being upset about it not being in the package, maybe they missed the few media reports awhile back that mentioned that this won't be in the season ticket package.
If you are arguing that they were aware of that, but now the price of the ticket isn't consistent with what they would pay per game at Koch. I would revisit my first post about what exactly is the cost breakdown per seat at Koch? I would bet after SASO fees are included a seat down low close to the floor would be somewhat close to the lower bowl cost.
I could be wrong, I sit up high at Koch so my cost breakdown per game comes out to around $20 per game. So, it would probably suit me well to buy the $17 level. Or I could splurge and upgrade my ticket since I don't have to drive a few hours and incur travel costs to watch my beloved Shox play a neutral game against a similar team.
Or, I could come on here and complain that we always get stuck paying for games at Koch against the Savannah States of the world.

I will be curious to see how many show up. Obviously, not all of us season ticket holders can afford to go or are willing to pay the price for the seats we'll be stuck with.
The average fan is not going to get excited about seeing UAB at IBA. That's not going to attract a lot of outside interest. There may be some sales to those who can't get into Koch to see games. I doubt many UAB fans will be here. 10k is the target number I'm looking at.
I'd hate to see what ticket prices would be for a team with a nameInfinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.
Save Shocker Sports - A rallying cry

Another strike for Sexton.
I talked to some season ticket holders (who are not shockernetters) at work about this game and ticket prices. They were suprised this game was not in the ticket package and then when told of the prices felt like they were being ripped off.
We have this game instead of either road game or a game at Koch against a horrible buyout team. Last year everyone talked big about how they hated those buyout games and wanted to see better competition in Wichita. Now that it has been provided, people are complaining about the way it is being provided.
The reason we could get UAB to come was because of the buyout provided by the outside organizer. How does that organizer fund such a buyout? Through the generated ticket revenue. If you want quality competition, put your wallet where you mouth is.

They give you a code to use when calling the IBA ticket office or on-line at slectaseat .com. The order for selection is determined by your SASO priority points. Same process used for MVC Tourmanment and Post-Season seating.
The letter did not say how long the window is until sales are open to the general public.

Monday's announcement of the Nov. 25 game against Alabama-Birmingham is proof. The game, organized and promoted by Russ Potts Productions, gives WSU a deal it couldn't make for a game at Koch Arena.

Originally posted by The Mad HatterAn outside organizer comes to WSU with an offer that:
1. Gives WSU a large buyout
2. Allows WSU to play in Wichita
3. Gets WSU a high quality RPI opponent in UAB
Are you telling me that you want Sexton to turn down that offer?
If you complain about this game, why not complain about taking a buy-out in Syracuse or playing the third game in the LSU series in Louisiana? WSU received a buy-out for both of those games and WSU could purchase tickets to them if they so desired. How is it being convenient to attend a buy-out game a worse situation than a buy-out game half-way across the country?"Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

Seems like the market will sort this out, no? Too expensive and folks won't go. Of course the administration could intervene and demand lower ticket prices, artificially inflating demand. Pricing is a tricky business.Wichita State, home of the All-Americans.
