Best wishes Conner.
Sure I would have preferred him to be at WSU, but I also understand a young man having a dream. If I'd have been good enough, I'd have waited for the St. Louis Cardinals to make an offer before signing with anyone else and would have accepted a lot less than with anyone else just because I dreamed of playing for the Cards. Of course, I came before the draft days.

I'm always surprised when a young person puts more value in a 4 year long commentment away from home vrs of a long lifetime "after Basketball" living in hometown Wichita as a hometown hero. Could the pressure of being successful be to much......... Well I guess moving to little lawrence is always an option......

Well I guess moving to little lawrence is always an option......There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Plus, in the case of Conner, I'm not sure how going to an in-state school who your family has been diehard fans of is really leaving one's comfort zone.
Then again, if you think getting in knife fights with football players is a right of passage for adulthood, then playing basketball at KU may be the perfect place to grow up."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

If he wants to see a lot of playing time early on, then he must add a lot of muscle/weight. He's so skinny he has to run around in the shower to get wet. There are but a few exceptions in high tier D1 basketball that I can think of where a skinny guy was a factor on the team, Kevin Durant, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince to name a few.
However, his position may not require him to be all that involved except for the perimeter which serves his game well. I just hate seeing Wichita State not getting a 'sniff' from local talent and PE will be another example.
