Utah St is well coached but they do run some pretty complicated plays.

It should be an advantage to play them in December rather than later.

I hope they play both games downtown. The players loved it, more fans get to enjoy it, and there is more pre-game/post-game excitement. These games will fill it up.

But there's also less atmosphere and it really takes away from the home court advantage we get at CKA. I assume my tickets won't be near as good at IBA this coming season. I'll be looking to sell if I'm upstairs.

I disagree about the atmosphere - the Shocker Faithful mutliplied by about 50% and most brought some energy... maybe you sat in a bad section.

At worst, it was on par with any other game.

Lets be real here, despite the screw up of the seats everything else about Intrust is better. Koch is nice but it's an old design (don't freak I said design, I understand everything in it is only a decade old).

Kids like things of today, not of things from the 50's. I remember Kyles with some quote about how much he loved it. I think it would benefit WSU recruiting if they played several games a year there, not just one.

A question for the future, is Koch going to be acceptable to recruits come 2020 or so? I like the atmosphere it provides and seating views however it's really going to start looking dated.

Hinkle Field House looks dated too... How about Allen Field House? That dump should be torn down for an NBA style arena.

Well I'm sure thats how 18 year olds everywhere think.

Also comparing anything Butler or KU and how it works for them has absolutely nothing to do with how something will work for WSU athletics.

I was about 12 rows up behind the Shocker bench. The atmosphere wasn't as good as CKA where I sit 20+ rows from the court.

                      +1

Is wsushox1 going to stop watching basketball altogether because "the mildkittens are polluting" the game by playing it?

Guess what, taking this stance just hurts WSU, not KSU. Nor does it send a message to Intrust about disliking them scheduling KSU games. You not showing up at a Shocker game at Intrust just sends the message that there is one less fan interested in attending Shocker basketball and encourages. No one is sitting around trying to figure out if any empty seats were left that way out of protest for a KSU game being played.

i think the overwhelming consensus from people that attend koch reguarly and went to iba think there is no comparison. the atmosphere is way better at koch. I kept waiting for iba to get loud and it never did. I definitely wish all games were at koch. I understand why they want to play 1 game there a year but hope its never more. I will probably watch from home this year.

I don't care if some people don't want to go to a game at IBA and stay home, just so they try to get rid of their ticket. With the correct team, I would expect 15,500 at the game and I expect a good time.

I say do the UNLV game at Intrust. That's a pretty big opponent. For whatever reason, I just think USU needs to be at Koch.

The single attribute of IBA over Koch is attendance. Koch is loud, there isn't a bad seat in the house, parking is better, ok IBA has beer, but that didn't translate into a raucous group. The score board was atrocious. There was no cell phone coverage. And yeah those BcS pos' in this state who want to play in Wichita w/o WSU are cowardly losers. Intrust promotes their space & could demand more. I ve also spent time in my profession in banking. As a professional & a consumer the title sponsor is a wanna ba waste of a bank.

Parking is a non-issue at IBA. You're just not used to it because you've probably only been there once or twice. The scoreboard issue should be fixed for the next game, there's no cell phone coverage in Koch either (well, at least data).

Yeah, you sounded real "professional" in that last sentence. Did you get turned down by Intrust and had to settle for 1st State Bank of Park City?
