If anyone is interested, I live in San Diego and my house is not too far from the arena. If anyone needs any info on places to eat/drink, things to see/do, or places to stay away from let me know. Any info on pep rally's or anything yet? I'll definitely be in attendance and can't wait. The arena is a great spot for basketball. As a grad student at San Diego State, I'm likely much more excited about them coming to SD than most. I'll be in attendance with some fellow grad students I recruited to cheer on the Shox. I expect a close one.

Wichita State has been criminally under-seeded in years past, but a move to the American Athletic Conference this season has the Shockers primed to make a run out of the No. 4 slot in the East Region. First up: a battle in San Diego against C-USA champion Marshall.
Don't forget before the NCAA Tournament begins, you can also play Bracket Games through CBS Sports by creating a pool with your office, family or friends, or filling out your bracket online.
The last two years, SportsLine's computer simulation correctly predicted nine out of 12 double-digit NCAA Tournament upsets in the first round with their computer algorithm. This year they have plenty of upsets again, like one region where you need to pick the 11, 12, AND 13 seeds, and another region with a 4-seed in the Final Four.
About No. 4 seed Wichita State
The Shockers went 14-4 in their first season in the American Athletic Conference and entered Selection Sunday ranked 20th at KenPom after going 8-2 in their final 10 games. Landry Shamet is the star. He's averaging 15.0 points and 5.1 assists while shooting 45.9 percent from 3-point range. If Wichita State gets to the second weekend, he — along with accomplished coach Gregg Marshall — will likely be the reason.
About No. 13 seed Marshall
Jon Elmore is the mid-major star that took the preseason Thundering Herd from irrelevant to now Big Dance sleeper. His 20-point second half in the C-USA title game sealed the deal for Marshall to head to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1987.

Yep. Viejas is smaller but a much better venue! Valley View Casino Center (Gulls place) is a dump. Good for hockey but would be bad for these games. I definitely don't wanna be a fan of a team that just assumes we'll blow by the first round opponent because stranger things have happened, but this shouldn't be close. Vegas has this game one of the most lopsided of the entire first round. Marshall got hot at the right time and knocked off some C-USA heavyweights but come on. We were finally gifted an easy first round matchup. If we don't take care of business, it would be one of the biggest disappointments in the Marshall era.

Agree 100%. And I respect Marshall for what they have done. Watching ESPN and others, now I know how it feels to be the likes of Gonzaga, Ohio State, and Kansas when they were picked to be upset by us. It actually pisses me off when I hear so many picking Marshall. Makes me want to see the Shox send them back home cryin' to their 'mammies'.Comment

Higher seed wears home unis so we'll probably be wearing the meh whites.
