i've been getting emails from the athletic dept to try it out and have done so.. i know it's a work in progress considering say 4,000 phones will probably try an connect but...

1) my iphone constantly disconnects from the network
2) speeds have never been over 750kbs... a cheap hotel provides at least 2.0mbs..

This is interesting. Knowing that you have been capped at 750kbps is actually a very helpful data point.

From my understanding there have been a couple things going on:

1) They severely undersubscribed bandwidth. They just installed 3x the bandwidth this week. I think in time they will see that they need to double it again soon, but while it's in the test phase the new allotment should give them the data they need to figure that out.

2) The equipment your phone connects to: The WiFi access points. All high end stuff, but needs a lot of tuning due to channel collisions and a crapstorm of noise given the design of the arena and the close proximity of 10,500+ mobile devices.

if everyone would log into the network and goto www.fast.com, you'll get the internet speed. if you'd screenshot that and email it to the fan experience person, that may help.

Great idea. In fact, post them here. I don't know who the fan experience person is, so I am not sure getting a crap load of screenshots of bandwidth would be helpful. But if we could have a bunch of shots posted here, I can assure the folks involved will see them.

Feels much slower

edit: running multiple times gets me an average of around 26
