Faster than a speeding bullet. Sees the whole floor like a barnyard owl. Who? Hooo? SHJ that's who. That delay fake drive to the rack was shades of Robert George whom I loved to watch play. What about C. Frankamp penetrating in for easy layups, stuffing a foe on D., and draining the 3-balls? I like all of that.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I like our core of bigs. A.M. will be fine in due time. Shaq and Willis are 3-point threats now? Those two along with Kelly will be solid. ZB got a slow start but got it clicking. I agree the entry passes were telegraphed and sluggish. RB is a bundle of perpetual energy personified. I hope he plays all Season. Nurger should have his best Season. Malone looked pretty good in there. It will be nice to get LS back on the court. Austin drained a 3 and took a charge thrice but only go credit for 2 of them.

Frankamp-Reminded me of North High Conner tonight. More of that.
SHJ-How did this kid only average 16 a game at Hutch? Super fast and seems in control for a guy brand new to D1 and the Marshall system.
Reaves-I don't think Reaves has played much basketball between the shoulder, pneumonia and the sore foot. He needs to knock the rust off and I have no doubt he will in due time.
Shaq-Not sure about the three three-point attempts. He was a man amongst boys in the paint, though.
        Rauno-Gotta love nurks.
Darral-Seems much quicker this year. He's going to put up 20 in a couple of games this year and could be a matchup nightmare for some teams.
God Bear-Gosh I want this kid to succeed so badly. He didn't have a great night. I still think he's going to be a tremendous player.
Rod Brown-There was some good and some bad. I'd prefer him redshirt.
Keyser-Really disappointed he didn't get to play. I'm really hoping he isn't the player that can never get on the court or out of coach's doghouse.

When this team gets LS & MM back, oh my....

Eagle said Reaves and Mitgaard were both sick/hurt but played anyway. That could explain some of their play. Keyser has some personal issues to address (perhaps grades?).

miitgard needs to get his stamina/breathing down. but freshman are always going to hyperventilate in their first game.

SHJ is a stud. I have a hard time believing SHJ, Frankamp, and Shamet aren’t one of the top 3 guard combos in the country.
Most guards would look good against a D-2 school that's expected to finish 6th in their conference.

AR just doesn't look like the same kid as 12 months ago. I remember his passing being one of the bright spots of his game. Today it wasn't. He'll get there but perhaps redshirt year might be in order.

He hasn’t played since surgery, mono, and a tendon injury. I am not sure how sharp he should be.

                      My thoughts:
                      - Damn, it was good to be back in Sec 120. Need to get that app loaded on the phone for Friday.
                      - Samajae and Willis had the best showings. Darrall appears to have figured out that, if he plays defense, he gets to shoot more often.
                      - SHJ played with his hair on fire. He played like he realizes the opportunity he has in front of him.
                      - I need to see more of that City League swagger that Conner and Samajae had tonight.
                      - I don't believe I have to explain this: YOU ONLY SIT DOWN WHEN THE OTHER TEAM FINALLY MAKES A BASKET. NOT when they make a free throw. NOT after the first media timeout. NOT after the SECOND media timeout. NOT even after the THIRD media timeout. It was the top of Section 120 and Lynn Marshall maintaining the standards tonight.
                      - Asbjorn ... he's no Fifi. He needs to work on his hands, it's going to take him until January to be able to move in flow and not have to think about where he needs to be, he needs to figure out how long 3 seconds is, but he is NO Fifi.
                      - The only two people I've ever seen get set in the lane before the ball handler crossed mid-court and still get a blocking call are Shaq Morris and Jake White. The difference being Jake White was actually knocked back by the collision.
                      - I sometimes think Rauno's job is to give Marshall someone to yell at.
                      - Rod Brown needs a redshirt and to be locked in the gym with Kerry Rosenboom with a whey isolate IV for the next year.
                      - It was nice to see the Bush family continue the role of Human Chest Bump.

I believe he already burnt that redshirt year by playing tonight. I think the exhibition exemption is only for true freshmen

FIFY. I think SHJ could still be redshirted if they wanted to do so...but they of course don’t.

Only thing that could save Austin is some sort of a medical redshirt, but unless a new injury incident happens again, it might be hard to get accepted.

Felt like a MVC game. Glad we are out of the MVC.
