I say we stack up nicely.
The HUGE problem with Nebraska is that they have a hard time winning on the road. They are a combined 2 and 10 on road and neutral court games. At home, they are a different monster.
They play very tough defense and their star in Jeter will give us fits. We'll see if you are right.

At the beginning of the season, WSU looked like a potential top 25 team. WSU projected to be the Valley champ with a clear margin over 2nd. It seemed legitimate to make comparisons to the S 16 team.
Then they proceeded to lose every game that mattered. That was the only consistent factor all season.
What looked to be a top half of the bracket seed in the NCAA's ends up in the NIT against a B12 (or 10) team that is normally a bottom 2 or 3 team in that league.
The fact that it's a B12 team and UNL is geographically close and has probably not played WSU in 50 years is likely to get some people out, but the disappointment of the season is going to keep some away.
If I go, I might pass on my season ticket and try for a better seat. The price difference isn't much and I'm confident lower seats will be available. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I hope there is another 10,000+ crowd in attendance wearing yellow as it is another chance for WSU to show off Koch arena to a national audience (the game is on espn2).

I would love to be there, I attended UNL for a year before transferring to WSU.
But I am NOT going to miss a baseball game against Arizona.
I do have priorities.

This game is an opportunity to expand the local fan base by making it more affordable for families to buy 3,4 or 5 tickets. But the AD is more interested in getting a couple extra thousand for the budget, I guess.
Nebraska's Ben Walker played at Hutch High and HCC, so there may be a larger-than-usual contingent from Reno Co. coming to the game, probably wearing red.

Agreed.
Every time he has an opportunity to score with the current and possible future fan base, he sinks deeper in the mud.
Maybe a letter to the editor that read like this might have an impact...
Hey Tool,
Your team, who was picked to win the league and finished 2nd, lost 4 at home and laid an egg in STL ends up in the NIT.
So what do you do? Charge $25.00 for tickets to a Tournament game where the eventual winner gets to claim they are #69?
Nice. 8)Above all, make the right call.
