To me it says alot by them not scheduling the Shocks. :good:

KU doesn't schedule us because they have nothing to gain. KU loses to WSU and it's the lead story on ESPN and in all the Kansas papers/local news. They beat us, it's B-Block fodder with 2 highlights sandwiched between highlights of the Minnesota Wild vs LA Kings and Golden State Warriors' vs LA Clippers.

KSU, on the other hand, has no reason to not play WSU. They're not elite and need decent RPI wins to help their at large case when they go 8-8 in the Big 12. If they want to schedule a game in Wichita, at least have courtesy to ASK the D-1 College in Wichita if they'd like to play. If they did and we declined, then that's another story.

Is anyone really surprised that one or both would eventually schedule games at Intrust. It does grate me but I'm not at all surprised. It's a metro area of 1/2 a million people with lots of KStaters and KUers. It will be well attended.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

This really ticks me off. They won't come to Wichita to play the Shockers but they will come to play someone else.

I think we should plan a big Yellow and Black welcoming party for their bus outside of the arena. It might be kind of fun if we could get a few hundred Shocker fans chanting and holding signs. We could get creative. Let em know that we aren't happy that they don't play the Shockers.

They won't care. If you really want to make them notice, sell out the game and have everyone root for West Virginia.

I think WSU should schedule their UNLV game in CKA the same night, then lets see how well attended that KSU game is.

I would like to see great support for WVU. Although I hate to throw too much support behind Huggins. Oh, well I now have motivation to go.

I would only go inside if I got a free ticket. Then I would wear my Shocker gear and root for WVA.

This game wouldn't bother me at all if Kstate played us in Basketball. But not playing us and then scheduling a game in Wichita is very disrespectful and a slap in the face.

Well...if I was a KU fan and after being recently beaten by Missouri Valley teams in the NCAA tournament...I would want ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with playing Wichita St. That's respect right there. Gotta hand it to the Jayhawks...at least they know who NOT to schedule.

I would love for kstate and ku to play wsu every year. of course i realize that neither of them need to play wsu to make the ncaa tournament regardless of what the idiot quoted says.

also the idea that anyone needs to ask permission to play in wichita is as stupid as the idea that ku, kstate or wsu need to ask permission of umkc to play in the sprint center (which all 3 have done recently). UMKC is a D1 team as well.

hopefully 3G can get wsu to the point that gonzaga is at where "bcs" teams will play them home and home. until then, and given the current wsu home record, it might benefit wsu to play a 3 game series with a home and home and a "neutral court" game... ala LSU.

Except we play UMKC. And that was part of a tournament.

Granted, Jacob Pullen will be tough to replace. But the last couple of games, I have seen freshmen and sophmores play significant minutes, and even run the show for periods of time. They only have 2 seniors, and 1 junior. I noticed last night, during crunch time, KSU had a freshman at the line, and another freshman on the court. Makes me wonder... "how bad KSU will be next year"?

Perhaps if they would play the Shocks some of this childish animosity would end. But Shocker fans really don't need to embarrass themselves with a lack of basketball knowledge.

Look Ku nor KSU isn't going to play us, so lets quit beating a dead horse!!!

The only way it would happen is if Topeka mandated it.

This guy states that he's from ICT. Everybody who knows BSCat knows that he lives on a 40 acre farm on the outskirts of Manhattan in God's Country.
