BTW Fever, I had some moron HCGS suckup who puts up K's and bomb pictures on a rail at the MVC championship debacle refer to me as 'ShockerFever', didn't know if I should've been feeling insulted or not!

Maybe he was undecided at the time of meeting and wanted to talk to his family and discus his options. Lets face it, playing for GS is not the easiest thing in the best of time, imagine what it is like when they are not making the post-season.

Getting old, or already there, is sometimes a bummer as I just can't figure some posts out.

KC - Why would SFL think you were making it up when a 1 1/2 hours and several posts earlier, shockball posted the link to the Eagle article saying that Goro was gone. Your first post even sounded like a news flash, which it wasn't as shocktown broke the story Friday.

Me thinks SFL maybe meant something else, unless he missed the Eagle link.

Or maybe he figured out during the course of the season that GS had picked his favorite at 3rd base and if a .240 average wasn't going to displace Harbutz and only a sports hernia could then why bother returning.

Nothing against Harbutz just think Goro didn't get his fair shake. Seems to me Gene gives certain players a mile worth of rope to hang themselves and others about 2 feet of rope.

Nate is a very good player and I hate to see him go. But good luck to him. I really thought he would be at third next year and Harbutz maybe in the outfield or at second. Oh well.... I liked to watch him play.
