Just remember, the orchestrator of the demise of Shocker football made $4.4 million last year at KU. Some of that money sure could have helped some students. Whether it was "state funds" or not it was "KU" and "board of regents" money.
Oh, and cheer up, KSU lost tonight at Tech.
Of course KSU lost at Tech tonight. They only get up for the big games. Just like the bandwagon fanbase.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Actually, fever, compared to south central Ks. Manhattan is quite scenic located in the north end of the flint hill, with a lot of trees.
I take KSU baseball seriously, and know the name of every player, but I read this board too. My son was on the team for 2 years before leaving to pursue life. He still attends KSU. He would have loved to have been a Shocker, but GS put all of his eggs in the basket of a player that never showed up, so my son signed elsewhere. I firmly believe he could have been a great help to this program, but it was not to be. However, he and I both root heartily for the Shocks because of his many friends on the team. So I am disappointed to see the animosity toward KSU baseball here. Doesn't need to be that way. However, I don't feel it is any longer accurate to say WSU has the better program, as that refers to the present, and that simply isn't true. I truly hope KSU can build the history WSU has, and the WSU can recapture it's history.

Actually wichita cat, I appreciate your input, but you are not seeing where the animosity has come from. BCSBrat has been asking for this for a while. In fact, he constantly asks for it - and he and KSU will constantly get it. How respected do you think the KSU boards are towards WSU?
Sorry buddy, but that's a way of life.
Even though we are sliding farther into the abyss, our overall program is still leaps and bounds ahead of KSU. WSU has had its worst two year stretch in 30 years. KSU is having their best two year stretch in its history. Even then, WSU's program is superior. Now, who has the better team currently? Well duh. That's a no-brainer. But program is a strong word. You need to know what "program" means before you start calling for the KSU takeover.Deuces Valley.

Wasn't it it you, shocker, that started the discussion, "The PROGRAM has officially fallen"?
I think that is actually overreacting, this program, (and I probably understand the word as much as anybody posting on here) can regroup.
Ta, not bitter, I re-read my comment, and I'm not sure where you got that. My son left on his own terms, and the fact that he did not become a shocker simply meant he got his education elsewhere.
The K-state boards are brutal, and it is predominantly kids shooting off their mouths. I like this board better because it is mostly adults, and I try not to react to kids being kids.

Oh, and cheer up, KSU lost tonight at Tech.
Having said that, I am not surprised they lost at Texas Tech. Kstate has only one other win over an rpi top 100 team (besides their win over WSU)- that was against "The Citadel".
And K-state has only 2 true road wins this year. They have built their nice record by beating a lot of weak and mediocre teams at home and at neutral settings at a couple of tournaments. Their record against the rpi top 100 is just 2-3 (WSU is 4-5 against the rpi top 100).
These wins should give the Cats confidence as they enter the big 12 season, but the reality is they have played a pretty easy schedule so far.

WSU is out of the NCAA Tournament. I can root for any team I so choose. You better believe I'm on the Butler bandwagon, but I sure as hell ain't off the WSU bandwagon. I think you totally swung through strike 3 on this one.
Congrats to the Red Raiders on taking the series from Kitten State this weekend! LOL!Deuces Valley.
