Fever, you make a good point, considering it took winning a weak MVC tournament to even get a bid. I guess I'm still on the high of the win, thinking our Shox deserve a 3 seed. You're right, they probably don't and won't be a 3, most likely a 4. But I still like their chances to win a game or two depending on who else is in our regional. I still think we could beat KU and KSU.

By the way, I was talking to the guy in front of me at the game tonight, he was a season ticket holder who had been to every single home game so far, and he was telling me that he had heard that at least 10 players from this years team will not be invited back next year, and that it's not wrong to expect a complete overhaul next year. Anybody else heard anything about that? I can see a few that probably don't deserve to be here, but I don't know about 10

A #4? I know the Shox had a bad season, but still, a 4? That would be a slap in the face for a program that has gone to the NCAA tournament what, 19 of the last 20 years? I expect us to be a 3 seed wherever we go, as this team has shown flashes of being a solid baseball team. And I do think given the right matchups, we could win a game or 2 in regionals

You are smoking serious crack. The Shox don't deserve higher than a four. We went 5-18 against the top 100 RPI and were only two games above .500 in D1 wins. The committee will not count the non-D1 wins.

If you did, you would clearly see that I agreed with ShockerFever after I came down from the high of the win tonight, and I looked at it more realistically and determined that the Shox deserve and should get a 4 seed. So no, I did not learn a lesson. Secondly, it should not have taken a response from Fever to change your mind. Common sense should have done that. But whatever......

Fair enough, we'll call a truce. We can now all agree that WSU will be a 4 seed, and I think most of us will agree that we can be a dangerous 4 seed given the right matchups. If those projections are right with us being a 4 in Manhattan, I definitely like our chances, especially with Kelley going on Friday

First of all k-state is unlikely to host, second I don't really like a Kelley/Morris matchup all that well.

KSU right now is being projected to host William. But I do see that changing after their 1-2 effort in the Big XII tournament. I think we'd be better going there than we would Oklahoma or Texas though

You are really having a bad night, you were corrected on the shocks 4 seed, the home plate umpire did not have a bad night, ksu went 2-1 in the tourney not 1-2, ksu has a rpi of 24 and is a long long shot at hosting in that 1200 capacity yard, did you by chance have to many pops at the eck?

That's a list of autobids so far....there have to be 16 4 seeds....from that list I see 10-11 teams/programs that could be considered worse than us.....how many more autobids go out tomorrow?

I'm feeling great, but you know I can't tolerate that kind of innaccuracy, cracks me up though that he thinks its a good deal to get matched up with a pitcher who is up for national pitcher of the year honors, heck if ksu doesn't get a regional maybe we can go against that san diego st. kid that blows 100mph. that would be good too.

To answer my own question, there are 15 more autobids going out tomorrow.

There are going to be a lot of bad conferences with bad champions....I'd say it's 50-50 we get a 4 seed, not because we deserve a 3 seed but for the same reason we'd never be a 16 seed in basketball....too many awful conferences.
