I watched the hole game from home. I forgot to tell you guys, my wife gave birth to my first son two weeks ago, so he is taking a lot of free time devoted to posting on SN.

Anyway, I'm elated that we are going to the regionals, but more happy we took 4 of 5 from those loud mouth clowns.

So, with a 2 1/2 year old and now a 2-week old in the home, you will have to excuse me if I'm not regularly on.

Lastly, I don't expect much in the regional. We will no doubt be a 4 seed, but the experience gained from this upcoming regional will do some of these young guys wonders. Especially our starters.

Living in Topeka we get a steady diet of how good K-State is this year ............ yes, with their first 40 win season - and possibly their first trip to the NCAA tournament.

What an accomplishment for the Shocks this year ............. their 27th trip to the NCAA tournament, with "only 30 wins" !!

How many 40 win seasons has WSU had? Something like 30?

I also think the Shocks will be a "4" seed - but whoever they play had better beware.

I never thought I'd be so happy for a Shocker team to make the NCAA tournament! Did ever, ever think this would happen for this team. Congrats Shocks!

This one game changes the whole complexion of the season. It was a nerve wracker but great win Shox!!

I've already forgot most of this season.I only remember tonight sitting amongst the Creighton Fans in Section H and watching them leave misty eyed.Almost as good but not as good as watching the OSU fans take the walk of shame in Allie P last season.This was sweeeeeet!!!
BTW.I want to say for the third or 4th time,Why was Engrav on the bench all season?MVP baby!!!

Just got home. The lucky black shirt possibly helped with a crazy game win. Couldn't believe we tried to bunt with 2 outs, how many times Creighton had people on base, and how our offense came alive with 2 outs.

All that matters is we got the win, to the magic 30 wins, and we are going to regionals :clap: :clap: :yahoo: :yahoo: . Also a little disappointed at the turnout, but it was loud & a great atmosphere. I lost my voice :yahoo: :yahoo: .

BTW: I'll say it again, how freaking awesome would it be to have a story like Fresno State last year :yes: .

It's a good thing we play in a weak Missouri Valley, as that's the only reason we are getting a bid this year. But hey, I'll take it. I was there tonight and the entire section i was sitting in, about 2 sections over from the CU crowd, was just giving it to them after the game. Bye bye Bluejays was the chant that we were giving them, and they sure didn't seem to appreciate it. Must not have felt too good with the shoe bein on the other foot. As far as the home plate umpire, I would have had no problem if he would have not given the outside corner for the whole game, like he did the first 2 innings. Very inconsistent zone, both outside/inside and up/down. Of course up/down was impossible for me to tell from where I was sitting, but I saw quite a few pitches a couple inches off the outside corner that were not called in the first 2 innings and ended up being called later in the game. As for the questionable play at home on Grimes, at first look I thought the catcher might have nicked Tylers arm, but looking at replays I'm not so sure. Swipe tag is a very tough call, and even with mulitiple replays I'm not convinced of a safe or out call. Doesn't matter though, the Shox toughed it up and won tonight and will be playing at least 2 more games!

I sit "right behind home plate" and the ump was terrible (i.e. inconsistent).
